British actor Daniel Ings is popular for his portrayal of Mike Parker in the television series The Crowns and Luke Curran in the Netflix series Lovesick.

Interestingly, the actor is often confused with footballer Daniel "Danny" William John Ings simply because they have the same name. Danny is a professional player for the England national team and Southampton in Premier League, and he isn't related to actor Ings.

Actor Ings' Personal Life with Wife and Kids

Ings is a happily married man who prefers to keep his married life, including the details of his wife, strictly private.

He has reportedly has been together with his wife for over 15 years. Speaking with the Digital Spy in February 2014, he revealed that he had been with his then-girlfriend for nine years at that time.

Lancaster University's website further reported he met his partner while they were students there.

In February 2018, Ings mentioned his wife and kids during an interview with Radio Times. He shared how he often visited the Scotlands's city, Glasgow, with his family after falling in love with the place while filming for Lovesick.

His wife and kids even visited him when he filmed during the holidays.

In the interview, Ings also revealing having two children, one of whom was a two-year-old son at that time. That means the actor's elder son is presently over 5-year-old.

He Entered Movie Industry with Short Film at Age 25

According to IMDb, Ings, who has 38 acting credits to date, initiated his career with a short film titled The Third One This Week in 2010.

The same year, he also acted in two other short films, Audiobook and Funny Money, and appeared in an episode 'St Hospitals' of the television series Peep Show.

Following that, he played a prominent part in TV shows such as PsychovillePete Versus LifeThe Crown, and The Café. He was also cast in 2011's film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

His most famous role, however, came as Luke Curran in Netflix's comedy-drama series Lovesick. He reprised his role for all three seasons from 2014 to 2018.

In the latter years, Ings potrayed the roles of Cob Betterton in the TV series I Hate Suzie, Francis Marindin in the TV mini-series The English Game, and Andy in the TV series Instinct.
