American reality television personality Bobby Flay had a history of failed marriages after failing to make his three previous unions with wives permanent. He moved on in his personal life with a new girlfriend, enjoying the relationship perks with her despite the previous relationship failures.

Divorced Parents raised chef Bobby Flay!

Bobby was born in New York on 10 December 1964. He was raised by divorced parents;  a lawyer turned restaurant manager father,  Bill Flay, and a paralegal mother, Dorothy Flay. He completed his primary education at Manhattan private high school in 1982.

The 53-year-old chef discovered his culinary uniqueness at the age of 17, working as a salad-creator at a famed Joe Allen restaurant in Manhatten's theatre district. Bobby impressed the owner of the restaurant, Allen, to his heart's content that he covered the young chef's tuition fee at the French Culinary Institue.

His Career In Succession

Following his graduation in 1984, he worked with restaurateur Jonathan Waxman at Buds and Jams, where he first discovered the sweet-heat of Southwestern ingredients that would assist him in creating his trademark culinary style. 

In 1988, after working in the American Stock Exchange, Flay made his return to the kitchen rolling as the executive chef at Miracle Grill in the East Village.

In his two years tenure at Miracle Grill, he caught the attention of restaurateur Jerome Kretchmer, who was in search of a southwestern-style chef.

Impressed by Flay's food, Kretchmer offered him the position of executive chef at Mesa Grill, which Flay accepted readily with his both hands.

After working for three years in Mesa Grill, In November 1993, Flay and Laurence Kretchmer took their working partnership to the next level as they opened Bolo Bar & Restaurant in the Flatiron District.

Following the first opening of own enterprise, Flay then went on to start various businesses under his name; some of which propelled and some of which went down.

In 2018, Bobby Flay is managing his new restaurant  Bobby's Burger Palace which is situated at Hartsfield-Jackson.

Besides, he has also hosted several Food Network's television programs, and appeared as a guest and hosted some specials on the network. Not only that, but the famous cook also hosted a weekly call-in radio show on Sirius XM Satellite Radio and authored several cookbooks.

Alongside his cooking career and television shows, The New York-native has been a master instructor at the French Culinary Institute, where he occasionally visits to take teaching classes.

Moreover, Flay, who established the Bobby Flay Scholarship in 2003, has been awarding a full scholarship to the French Culinary Institute to students selected from Long Island City Culinary Arts Program up until now.

Married Three Times With Each Ending In Divorce 

In his love life, he has been divorced thrice. He was married to fellow chef Debra Ponzek on 11 May 1991. They first met at a Meals-On-Wheels charity event and started dating for a year before exchanging their wedding vows at the classic NYC haunt, The Rainbow Room. The husband-wife duo divorced in 1993 after two years of their marriage.

Bobby married his second wife, television personality Kate Connelly, on 1 October 1995. He first met Kate when he appeared on the Food Network talk show in January 1994. They share a daughter, Sophie, born on 16 April 1996 who is the only child of Bobby. They later got divorced in 1998.

Years later, he again got married for the third time. He married actress Stephanie March on 20 February 2005. Flay had proposed to her at the Rockefeller Centre ice rink in 2003.

Bobby and Stephanie later divorced in July 2015, five months after their separation. They reportedly filed for divorce after their marriage crumbled when reports of his alleged affair flooded in media. He reportedly had a three-year affair with one of his assistants, Elyse Tirrell, while he was in a married relationship with Stephanie.

Post his three failed relationships, he started dating a famous actress who loves cooking just like him. 

Dating Actress Girlfriend, Helene Yorke 

The spark between Chef Bobby and his new girlfriend, Helen Yorke has been growing with every passing time. Bobby has had a year filled with love and celebrated his one year anniversary with his girlfriend in February 2017. On one year anniversary he posted a selfie of the pair and wrote;

“One year later ... could not smile and laugh more in a 12 month span. @heleneyorke @thehungriestgirlfriend #happyanniversary”

Moreover, nearing their two-year anniversary in February 2018, the couple were spotted holding hands at Miami. The couple enjoyed the warmth of each other in the searing heat of Miami, as they casually strolled around the metropolitan city.

After three disastrous marriages, it seems he has found love again in his life with girlfriend Helene Yorke, a Canadian actress. 

Loves To Cook For His Actress Girlfriend

Bobby started dating Helene in February 2016. He first met the Masters of Sex actress at a Knicks basketball game before beginning dating. The couple frequently showcases their love for each other on their social media.

The 33-year-old actress has never been married, unlike Bobby. However, a wedding could be on the offing for the fourth time for Bobby as his daughter gave his new girlfriend her seal of approval.  

She posted an Instagram picture in May 2018 with her father and his girlfriend thanking them to let her move to the other side of the country for 4 years.

In August 2017, the New York native had told E News that he loved cooking with his girlfriend and also added that she wanted to learn cooking. Also, in one of his interview in 2017, the famous chef also said that he had moved on from his past failed relationship.

The duo was recently spotted together in a leisurely stroll in the Hamptons, New York in June 2018.
