American political commentator and author Dana Perino has been relishing a happily married life with her entrepreneur husband Peter McMahon since 1998.
Who is Perino's Husband?
McMahon, a Blackpool native, is a businessman related to the sales of medical products. He is currently serving as the President at GreenSleeve Surgical based in New York.
He had previously served as White House press secretary for President George W. Bush from September 2007 to January 2009.
The 66-year-old English man had studied at the University of Southern Colorado in Pueblo.
Love at First Sight
It was August 1997, and Perino boarded a flight from Denver to Chicago. Next to her seat was business mogul McMahon, whom she met for the first time.
Impressed with his cute looks and British accent, Perino immediately thought of starting a relationship with him. She even checked if he had worn an engagement ring - and to her blessing, he was single.
"Oh, he’s cute, and he’s not wearing a wedding ring, and he has a British accent," Perino told about her first impression of her husband to Yahoo in November 2018.
The strangers, then, connected instantly at first sight, and they ended up talking for the whole journey to Chicago.
At the end of the flight, they exchanged emails and phone numbers - and thereafter, they regularly kept in touch with each other.
Eleven months after their first meeting, McMahon proposed to Perino to marry him. The Fox News anchor, however, took nearly a couple of months to accept the proposal.
Dana gave me a letter and the letter told me how much she loved me, how much she had enjoyed her time in the U.K., how much she enjoyed being with me. And then at the end she said, ‘Yes, I will marry you.'
The couple eventually got married on September 30, 1998.
Happily Together To Date
The couple completed 23 years of their first meeting in August 2020. On that occasion, Perino took to Instagram and posted an adorable picture with her husband McMahon.
"Met on an airplane 23 years ago today," she captioned.Â
The couple had previously celebrated McMahon turning 63 years of age on June 12, 2017.Â
The birthday celebration was not just a celebration of her husband's born day but also a celebration of their relationship. Dana summed up the bash by saying:
There was a great cake with the pictures of the two countries, two dogs and the plane and a sidecar on it.
Another such instance was when the anchor posted a picture with her husband on the auspicious occasion of their 19th anniversary on August 17, 2016.
She captioned her post, saying, "Peter McMahon and I met on an airplane 19 years ago today. See, fellow travelers, it CAN happen!"

The couple is enjoying their married life to the fullest. With over two decades going, they still have a long way to go.
Perino And McMahon Have Dog As Children
Although the couple does not have any children, they do not repent their decisions about not conceiving.
The reason for not having kids may be because they are so busy with their own line of work and thus, have no time. They have adopted a dog named Jasper, whom they nurture like their kid.

And Jasper is not just their dog but also the couple's companion.
Not only do they play together with their beloved, but Jasper also provides company to McMahon as he settles down after a hectic day and watches his wife's show The Five.
Perino surely is having the time of her life, after all, what more do you need other than a loving husband and your pup, waiting ahead of the TV screen in eagerness to catch a glimpse of you.
That being said, McMahon has two kids from his previous marriage.
Perino Has a Degree in Mass Communication
Perino was born on May 9, 1972, in Evanston, Wyoming, to parents Janice and Leo Perino. Due to less revelation, her family and early life is a mystery to most of us.
She attended the Ponderosa High School in Parker. She graduated from Colorado State University in 1993 and earned her degree in mass communication. She completed her master's degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield.
Her Career LadderÂ
Perino began her career working on the University's forensic team at KTSC-TV. After that, she worked on Washington D.C. as a staff assistant for Congressmen Scott Mclnnis.
Following that, she nearly served four years as press secretary for Dan Schaefer.
In November 2001, Perino secured the position as a spokesperson for the department of justice for two years.Â
She then joined the White House staff as the associate director of communications for the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ), where she provided strategic advice on message development, media relations, and public outreach.
The Fox anchor also served as a Deputy Press Secretary from 2005 to 2007. She was the Acting White House Press Secretary for a month in 2007.
In September 2007, she was promoted to assistant to the President and served as White House Press Secretary until the end of the Bush Administration in January 2009. Â
She was nominated by President Barack Obama in November 2009 to serve on the Broadcasting Board Of Governers.
In 2010, she started teaching political communication at George Washington University.
Likewise, in September 2016, Dana's podcast Perino & Stirewalt: I'll Tell You What premiered as a weekly limited series on the Fox news channel.
