The early 2000s introduced people to some of the most iconic fashion trends, movies, and celebrities.

One such celebrity was Elisha Cuthbert, and to this day, fans wonder "what happened to Elisha Cuthbert?" and where is she now?

She was predicted to be the next big female star in Hollywood, as she seemed to have what it took.

But as swiftly as Cuthbert came in, she disappeared from the limelight and could not find the way back to the top.

Elisha Cuthbert's Rise to Fame

Cuthbert's breakthrough in the industry came with the movie, The Girl Next Door. The actress took on the role of Danielle, a former adult star running away from her sordid past.

Her portrayal of the beautiful girl next door garnered a large fan base, and she was even dubbed "TV's Most Beautiful Woman" at the time.

Following The Girl Next Door, Cuthbert starred in the 2005 remake of House of Wax and the 2007 film Captivity

She kicked off the 2010s with Happy Endings, which ran for three seasons on ABC. The series was a critical hit and had a following, but unfortunately, it was canceled.

After that, fans saw little of the Captivity actress.

Elisha Cuthbert's Comeback

But despite falling off the face of Hollywood, it looks like the actress is looking to make a comeback.

In recent years, Cuthbert has appeared in movies like 2017's Goon: Last of the Enforcers and Netflix series The Ranch

She was one of the leads in the Ashton Kutcher/Sam Elliott-led series before it was canceled from the streaming service.

The Netflix gig might have ended, but the actress has no intention of slowing down soon. She was also seen in Eat Wheaties! opposite Tony Hale and guest-hosted Canada's Drag Race.

As for her future projects, she is reportedly returning to her horror roots with The Cellar, which is currently in post-production.

She will also appear in the heist thriller Bandit, alongside Josh Duhamel and Mel Gibson.

However, the released date for the action-thriller has not been decided yet.

Elisha Cuthbert's Philanthropic Involvements

When the actress is not working on any projects, she devotes her time to worthy causes.

The star has been involved in projects related to the Special Olympics and its sporting event, the virtual 5K walk/run.

She is also a longtime supporter of the Enriching Lives Gala, an event that raises funds for "grassroots programming, quality competitions, trained coaches, and much more for athletes of all ages and ability levels."

Apart from Special Olympics, the Happy Endings actress is involved with Tim Hortons Camp Day, a fundraiser that seeks to provide transformative programs and life-changing skills for youth from low-income homes.

In 2018, she joined Tims for a coffee drive-thru fundraiser.

She told SaltWire, "So many people came through, just in the hour I was here. And it's a great place because you're just interacting with your community. And then on top of it, getting to raise money for all of the camps is great."

She added the event was a great initiative, and as a mother herself, participating in such an event was special to her.
