Vanderpump Rules' Jax Taylor's chequered history with women showed signs of stopping in June 2018. The hunk's slowing down had everything to do with a sparkling diamond rock in the hands of his girlfriend.

Jason Micheal Cauchi, otherwise known as Jax Taylor, first rose to prominence by appearing in the Bravo Series Vanderpump Rules. In 2017, he starred alongside his girlfriend, American reality star Brittany Cartright, in the spin-off series -- Vanderpump Rules: Jax And Brittany take Kentucky.

Jax was born to father, Ronald, and mother, Marie in Shelby, Michigan on July 11, 1979. His sister, Jenny Lynn, is his only living sibling.

Jax rose to fame with Bravo TV's reality series Vanderpump Rules, a spinoff of the Real Housewives of the Beverly Hills, mostly focusing on Lisa Vanderpump of RHOBH fame and the staffs of her restaurant SUR in West Hollywood, California. As of now, the show has aired for seven seasons, and Jax has played one of the leading roles in each of the seasons.

It's safe to assume: the 39-year-old's actions have always been under the 'microscope' -  he attracted media buzz when he was reportedly seen frequenting to the office of plastic surgeon Dr. John Layke, who is from Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery Group.

According to Dr. Lyke, his patient, Jax has had a male breast reduction surgery as well as a nose job. However, in a Vanderpump Rules episode which aired in December of 2017, the reality tv star failed to corroborate with the doctor's claims, calling the treatment 'not a breast reduction.'

Besides his professional excellence and surgery rumors, his dating life has had also been a spicy topic on Tabloids. His personal life got featured ever more than before in media after he announced that he was engaged-to-be-married in 2018.

Before getting engaged with his girlfriend of three years, Brittany, whom he met at Vegas before asking her to move to LA, the residential playboy of the Vanderpump Rules had a string of failed relationships on the show amidst cheating scandals.

His plethora of unsuccessful courting on the show (prior to Brittany) included the likes of Laura-Leigh Moser, Stassi Schroeder, and Carmen Dickman; many of whom accused him of being a philander.

Staying not far from the cheating ways of his past, he was once again caught doing the same on Brittany with fellow co-star, Faith, on the season 6 of Vanderpump Rules in 2017.

Brittany and Jax, however, put their past behind them, as less than a year later in July 2018, they announced the news of their engagement to the world.

If the act of grieving tends to bring two mourning souls together; Jax and his wife-to-be are the living testaments. Days after the engagement in June 2018, Jax in an interview with E-News! said :

"I've been thinking about it for a long time. However, the nail in the coffin was when my father passed..."

The death of his father helped him summon up the courage to pop up the question to his girlfriend, Brittany. He had tweeted about his father's passing on 29 December 2017. Responding to the tweet,  Brittany had asked their followers to keep Jax's family in prayers.

A girlfriend in grief shall be the wife indeed! Well, Jax might have to spend a fortune on their wedding that seems to be around the corner.

Recently, Jax opened up about how exactly he proposed. According to Jax, he was a nervous wreck that day. Apparently, he had an expensive diamond ring in the pockets of his tight pants, and it was pressing hard on his skin.

I’ve got to tell you, from the moment I left my apartment until I got there, it was brutal.

The proposal was the part of the season premiere of the seventh installment of the Vanderpump Rules, which aired on December 3, 2018.

It was a risk for Brittany to get engaged to someone who had cheated on her in the past. But Jax come a long way since his philandering days, and now he is a committed one-woman guy, and Brittany seems to be the reason for the change. Meaning she was the perfect person to be Jax's wife.

Fortunately, he is excelling in his career. His antics on TV pocket him a whopping $25,000 per episode in salary, which is more than some of his colleagues on the show.
