Don started dating the social media sensation Liane Valenzuela after three years of friendship.

In 2019, the Chicago native upped his relationship with his partner; he proposed to Valenzuela on her birthday, on August 22, 2019.

He had got down on one knee with a square halo diamond ring in front of his friends present at the birthday party. Saying yes, she accepted the proposal.

However, the engagement didn't come to fruition as Don Benjamin and Liane Valenzuela parted ways.

Separated With Fiancée In Early 2020

Benjamin had been in a relationship with his girlfriend-turned-fiancée for four years. After the engagement, they had even started preparing for the wedding in 2020. However, the wedding plans went in vain as they parted ways in January 2020.

Shocking all their fans, the pair announced their break-up on January 31, 2020, through a YouTube video titled, We Are Taking A Break.

In the video, Valenzuela cited that they were taking a break to work on "things." Stressing that they took the break on good terms, Benjamin and his partner opted not to disclose the reason for their separation at the moment.

Three months later, the Instagram star implied that she parted ways with Benjamin because he cheated on her. Posting a YouTube video titled, Opening Up About Our Break Up, she maintained that he broke her trust. 

Though separated, she asserted Benjamin would always be her best friend.

Reconciled In 2021

Good news for the fans that shipped the duo, Benjamin and his partner reconciled in early 2021.

They made their patch-up official by posting a video on their Instagram and YouTube accounts. Titled "Are We Getting Back Together?" the video featured Liane V saying that she changed her mindset and was excited to start a new chapter with her boyfriend.

Confronts Gay Rumors 

Benjamin's followers have always been curious about his sexuality. Blessed with a photogenic face and with his Instagram wall full of shirtless images, he has a huge gay fan following. 

In December 2013, one of his Twitter followers even asked him if he was gay. The Chicago native counter asked whether he looked like one. In response, the follower replied that half the guys she met at West Hollywood were gay.

Benjamin quickly answered and clarified he was straight. He wrote, "no I'm not gay lol."
