Cheryl Scott is a TV meteorologist/geologist known for working for Chicago's ABC 7 Eyewitness News. She also serves as a board member for the American Red Cross.

In the past, she worked as a weather reporter for WMAZ-TV, NBC 5 in Chicago, and WBIR-TV in Tennessee, where she worked as a weekend meteorologist.

Early Life and Education

Scott celebrates her birthday on the 29th of January. She was born in 1985 in New Jersey. She grew up with two older brothers. However, any information regarding her family, and her early childhood is still a mystery. He stands at a height of 5 feet and 6 inches.

Back in 2007, Cheryl graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor's Degree in Geological Sciences.

Further, she did her meteorological studies through Mississippi State's Distance Learning Program, which was completed in 2010.

Relationship with Dante Deiana

Scott and Dante Deiana, a New Jersey native who joined the WLS weather team in 2014, were dating each other for about two years before Dante decided to give their relationship a new name. The couple had first met each other at a charity event in Chicago.

In 2018, the couple was on a hike in the dormant Haleakala volcano. At the 10,000-foot summit, Dante got down on his one knee and popped the question of marriage.

Scott didn’t see the proposal coming her way and was stunned to see the engagement ring in his hand.

Deiana, on the other hand, was fully prepared and he had hired a videographer and photographer to capture the moment. After she said yes to the proposal, they toasted with champagne and watched the sunset.

Later on, Scott announced her engagement on Instagram with a set of pictures, including one of a precious moment of the proposal, and a shot of the couple embracing, with Scott showing off her new ring.

The couple is either not married yet or they never went public with it. Our guess is on the former since they did celebrate their 2-year 'engageaversary' in July 2020.

And their anniversary in 2021, with no mentions of a wedding. But they seem to be in no rush and neither are we.

Career and Net Worth

Scott started her career in Philadelphia as an intern at WCAU-NBC10 in 2006. And after a year, in 2007, she began working for WSEE-TV as a weekend weather reporter.

A Meteorologist at ABC News earns an average of $76,700, ranging from $64,812 to $86,656, with top earners making more than $98,757. We can assume Scott’s salary ranges from $70,654 to $83,764.

Her net worth is estimated to be upwards of $1.2 million.
