American political correspondent Kasie Hunt tied the knot with the husband who is also her workmates at the NBC News.

The Pennsylvania native serves as a Capitol Hill correspondent for NBC News and covers Congress across all NBC News and MSNBC platforms. She now appears as a host of MSNBC's nightly news and politics program, Kasie DC.

Kasie also covered the 2016 election and reported on various candidates that include Donald Trump, former Governor Jeb Bush, and former State Secretary Hillary Clinton.

The political correspondent was born on 24 May 1985 to parents,  Bruce Hunt and Krista Hunt. She grew along with her younger sister, Carly Hunt in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Kasie has a close-knit connection with her parents and does not forget to wish them on their special day. For instance, she wished her mother on the occasion of mother's day through her show, Kasie DC  in May 2018.  Similarly, she uploaded an Instagram picture to wish her father on the father's day 2018, regarding him as the best dad.

As of her education, Kasie attended the George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs and graduated Magna Cum Laude in international affairs in 2006.

Later, she earned her master's degree in sociology from the University of Cambridge in 2008.

Kasie Hunt's Journalism Career: NBC, Associated Press, MSNBC

Kasie started her journalism career as an internee at the political unit of NBC News in 2005. Later, she went to the Associated Press and started working as a news assistant. She worked as a political reporter for the media from 2011 to 2013.

In 2013, she joined NBC News initially working as an off-air reporter and producer. She also appeared regularly on MSNBC as a political reporter and then became a political correspondent.

During the time, she wrote for msnbc.com and hosted various programs on MSNBC shows such as Morning Joe, and Hardball with Chris Matthews.

After taking responsibility as an NBC Capitol Hill correspondent, she now anchors her talk show, Kasie DC, since October 2017.

Kasie, who is a supporter of gay marriage, frequently covers the news regarding the gay community. In March 2018, she interviewed Adam Rippon, an Olympic figure skater who is the first openly gay to qualify for the Winter Games in February 2018.

Kasie Hunt Talks About Difficulties Of Being Political Reporter In Today's Scenario

As much as she has gained success as a political journalist, Kasie has found a lot of difficulties while working as a political reporter, especially in modern times when political divide is so large that slight mishap in the reporting can bring an avalanche of criticism.

In a recent Forbes article, Hunt mentioned about problems she faced while keeping her personal opinions away from the reporting. Often times things are so personal that it is difficult to be objective and yet, as a journalist, you have to be; you have to keep your opinions and report without any bias.

One recent example would be when Kasie praised a Republican party candidate for being a war veteran and said that the Senate would be better with more vets like him. But in the public that came out as an endorsement of a political candidate, and as an impartial journalist that was the worst thing to do. Kasie later apologised saying that was not her intention.

Kasie Hunt's Married Life; Frequently Revives Wedding Day With Husband, Matt Riviera

The 33 years old shares the marital relationship with husband, Matt Rivera. The couple tied the wedding knot on 6th May 2017 at the ceremony held in Shenandoah Woods in Virginia.

Matt, aged 36, is an NBC News producer who runs the show Meet the Press as the senior digital producer. Kasie and Matt first met each other while they were serving at the NBC News in Washington.

Kasie regularly recalls the special moment through her social sites. In June 2017, she wished a  month anniversary to her husband, thanking Carol Hannah's design team for the gorgeous dress and Cassidy DuHon for the stunning picture.

They celebrated their first wedding anniversary in May 2018 and on the special occasion she shared a throwback wedding picture with her husband.
