You star Elizabeth Lail is a married woman!

The actress tied the knot with her pediatric dentist boyfriend, Nieku Manshadi, at Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, New York, where they spent their first anniversary together. “It felt right returning to a place from our story and sharing it with those we love,” she shared.

The couple opted for an intimate affair attended only by 22 guests per COVID-19 restrictions and ensured they were vaccinated. They decided not to wait any longer and invited only their families to keep it safe for everyone.

Lail talked to Brides about her meet-cute with her husband at a mutual friend’s party in Williamsburg. The couple was initially on a weekend getaway to Montauk, New York, but it turned into a fireside proposal when Manshadi got down on his knees with her grandmother’s wedding ring.

A Look into the Intimate Wedding

The newly married Lail found planning the wedding during a time of uncertainty an intuitive experience. They did not have a strong vision for their wedding so she scoured Pinterest for ideas, but everything fell into place once the venue was booked.

We didn’t have a strong vision, and it’s easy to become overwhelmed by possibility, so we just waited and listened for what felt good. The wedding revealed itself to us over time as more and more creatives became involved."

Lail shared that all the logistics for the wedding, from deciding the date to choosing the cake, were based on recommendations and availability from Hasbrouck House. The Once Upon a Time star donned a custom Andrea Hawkes gown made of Marrocaine silk while the groom gussied up in a dark navy suit from Freemans Sporting Club.

Before the ceremony, the two exchanged love letters during their first look. She recommended other couples to do the same, saying it was a beautiful way to connect with one another before getting swept away from the excitement.

After Lail walked down the aisle, she and Neiku exchanged traditional and Baha’i vows in front of a floral arch which “brought so much joy to [her] ceremony” and thanked florist Dark and Diamond. Another part of their magical day was the wedding playlist that Manshadi created that she has not stopped singing since.

So Who Is Nieku Manshadi?

Manshadi always wanted to work in a profession where he could help others, and growing up, he had an excellent dentist who inspired him to become one.
