American actress and animal enthusiast  Elizabeth Lail is best known for playing the recurring character of Anna in the American fantasy adventure drama television series Once Upon  A Time (2014) and Amy Hughes in the American supernatural horror television series Dead of Summer (2016), Guinevere Beck in the American psychological thriller television series You (2018 to 2019) and Jenny Banks in the NBC drama series Ordinary Joe (2021 to 2022).

In April 2021, The actress tied the knot with her boyfriend, pediatric dentist Nieku Manshadi, at Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, New York, where they spent their first anniversary together.

“It felt right returning to a place from our story and sharing it with those we love,” she shared. 

The couple opted for an intimate wedding attended only by 22 guests per COVID-19 restrictions and ensured they were vaccinated. They decided not to wait any longer and invited only their families to keep it safe for everyone. 

Lail talked to Brides about her meet-cute with her husband at a mutual friend’s party in Williamsburg. The couple was initially on a weekend getaway to Montauk, New York, but it turned into a fireside proposal when Manshadi got down on his knees with her grandmother’s wedding ring.

The newly married Lail found planning the wedding during a time of uncertainty an intuitive experience. They did not have a strong vision for their wedding so she scoured Pinterest for ideas, but everything fell into place once the venue was booked. 

We didn’t have a strong vision, and it’s easy to become overwhelmed by possibility, so we just waited and listened for what felt good. The wedding revealed itself to us over time as more and more creatives became involved." 

Lail shared that all the logistics for the wedding, from deciding the date to choosing the cake, were based on recommendations and availability from Hasbrouck House. Before the ceremony, the two exchanged love letters during their first look. She recommended other couples to do the same, saying it was a beautiful way to connect with one another before getting swept away from the excitement. 

After Lail walked down the aisle, she and Neiku exchanged traditional and Baha’i vows in front of a floral arch which “brought so much joy to [her] ceremony” and thanked florist Dark and Diamond. Another part of their magical day was the wedding playlist that Manshadi created that she has not stopped singing since. 

As of now, the couple is keeping their relationship low profile as there lack of recent pictures of Manshadi on her social media. Manshadi is also a private person who doesn't use any social media.

Manshadi, who stands at 6 feet, always wanted to work in a profession where he could help others live "healthier lives," and growing up, he had an excellent dentist who inspired him to become one.

"I realized pretty early on in dental school that you can set a really good example for children and treat them in a way where they won't have a fear to go the dentist and excited about their oral health actually. There are other dentists in my family. I have some cousins but I'm the first pediatric dentist," he said.

He graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific's Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and completed a two-year pediatric dental residency at Boston University. 

He loves working with children and strives to make dental visits enjoyable for his young patients and their families. He is licensed to treat patients with special needs and provide oral conscious sedation for those with anxiety as he is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. 

Manshadi also volunteers his services to areas with limited health care, which has taken him as far as Ecuador and the Philippines. He is an avid traveler who loves to explore the food and culture of various countries and enjoys alpine skiing. When he is free, he likes to go skiing and spend cozy time with his wife, friends, and family.
