Younan's Husband Filed for Divorce at First
Do all good things have to come to an end? What looked like a perfect family from outside was burning in the insides, and the family's struggles only came to light in 2016 when her husband filed for divorce.
The ex-couple announced that they had separated from each other in October 2016. The divorce filed by her husband cited infidelity as the main reason for separation and accused Younan of engaging in an extramarital affair with the famous rapper Future.
Announcing the news of the separation of the darling couples TMZ reported at that time:
After careful consideration and 19 years together, Larsa and Scottie have each filed for dissolution of their marriage. Although they are no longer to be married, Larsa remains hopeful that she and Scottie will always do what is best for their 4 beautiful children and jointly raise them with love and respect.
She would like to thank everyone for their understanding and kindly ask for privacy from the media during this difficult time of transition for her family.
Younan, who is good friends with the Kardashians, moved into fellow single mother Kourtney Kardashian's Calabasas mansion during the split.
She Filed for Divorce after a Short Reconciliation in 2018
Younan and Pippen shared an on and off-again relationship. After filing for divorce in October 2016, they reconciled in June 2017 to consider divorce in August the same year. Throughout reconciliations, she and her husband tried their best to make the marriage work out for their four children.
They did try their best, but sometimes things don't work out in life, and neither did their marriage. After calling off their 120 million dollars divorce in November 2017, the couple decided to finalize their divorce and end their marriage.
But this time, it was not Pippen who filed for divorce; it was Younan herself. She filed for legal documents to end their 21-year marriage in Los Angeles County Superior Court on November 2, 2018, asking for joint legal and physical custody of Scottie Jr., Preston, Justin, and Sophia.
Younan even confirmed their divorce in an interview with TMZ (2018), stating:
We have both tried very hard for a long time to make our marriage work and have ultimately come to the conclusion that it is best that we live separate lives. We have so many amazing memories together, remain best of friends and love each other very much. Our four children have always been our priority and for their sake we ask for as much privacy as possible for our family during this sensitive time.
Has Reportedly Moved on with New Relationship
Though Younan's divorce from her ex-husband hasn't been finalized yet, she seems to have moved on in her life. She is reportedly linked with an American basketball player, Malik Beasley.
The news of their dating started once the couple was spotted together in Miami in Nov. 2020. Then, they were seen together in Minnesota in Dec. 2020. The duo reportedly enjoyed a night out together and even clicked pictures in from of a Christmas tree.
Amid the buzz of the possible relationship with Beasley, Younan even went on to share her views on marriage. She affirmed that she would marry again and have more kids when a fan asked her so in an Instagram Q&A story in Jan 2021.
