Congratulations rang in from everywhere for Ant McPartlin and Anne-Marie Corbett as they walked down the aisle yesterday. But it turns out some people were not entirely excited about the marriage, including the television presenter's ex-wife, Lisa Armstrong.

Instead, the make-up artist, who didn't attend the ceremony, was busy sharing weather updates of Hampshire, where McPartlin and Corbett's wedding took place.

On August 7, 2021, she liked a tweet from a Twitter fan, who mentioned her in a post about how terrible the weather was in Hampshire.

As she liked the scathing tweet on the morning of her ex's wedding, many added threads to the tweet, giving out mixed reactions. While many felt sad for Armstrong, some said they should not beef but be happy for McPartlin and his newlywed wife.

"This is really sad. I feel for both sides. We know nothing. It's not our place. You both deserve happiness," one tweeted.

McPartlin and Corbett's Star-Studded Wedding

The Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway presenter exchanged wedding vows with Corbett, his former personal assistant, at St Michael's Church in the village of Heckfield in Hampshire.

The wedding was a star-studded affair with Declan Donnelly, Phillip Schofield, David Walliams, Frank Lampard, and Dermot O'Leary in attendance.

In fact, McPartlin's work partner and sidekick Donnelly turned up as his best man.

For the big day, McPartlin wore a matching black tuxedo, pants, and a bowtie while the bride looked beautiful in a white gown, as she carried a bouquet of purple and white flowers.

Armstrong Enjoyed Her Staycation

While her ex-husband got married to Corbett, Armstrong enjoyed a staycation in a luxury hotel in Wales with her boyfriend, James Green.

In late July, she checked in to the five-star Palé Hall hotel with her boyfriend and has since been posting snaps of her quality time.

On July 30, she posted an adorable selfie of herself and Green, as they both smiled sweetly for the camera.

In another post, Armstrong, a make-up designer at BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing show, wore a pair of glittery sunglasses as she tried to relax in the sun.

McPartlin's Relationship with Corbett and Armstrong

The television presenter and his newlywed wife have been together since 2018. The rumors of their relationship started after they were spotted together in March that year.

In April, Corbett was pictured walking McPartlin’s dog with him, and two months later, they were again spotted together, enjoying a shopping trip at Harrods.

McPartlin had previously described Corbett as his "rock" since she supported him following his 2018 drunk-driving arrest and a stint in rehab.

And while this is his second marriage, it is also the same for his wife. She was previously married to her ex-husband Scott Corbett, with whom she shares two teenage daughters.

As for McPartlin, he was married to Armstrong for 11 years, from July 2006 to January 2018. They wed at St Nicolas Church, Taplow, with the reception at Cliveden House hotel.

Their wedding was attended by 150 close friends and family members, who were hit by heavy rain.

McPartlin and Armstrong had known each other since they first met at a roadshow in Newcastle in the mid-1990s. Though the former couple was married for 11 years, they did not have any children together.
