Heidi Watney after her marriage had been engaged in making special memories with her husband. The couple had been celebrating their special landmarks in the relationship when they were blessed with a heavenly addition to the family.

The Fresno native, age 37, is the daily host for the MLB Network. She hosts Quick Pitch and MLB Network’s nightly highlights show on a daily basis.

Standing tall with the height of 5ft 8 inches(1.78m), and a photogenic face, she ended up securing the second position in Miss California competition at the ripe age of 21.

Heidi Watney's Bio (Age): Born To The Sports Family

In Fresno, California, Heidi was born to father Lon Watney and mother Mary Watney on 19 May 1981 and grew up as one of the five siblings. Heidi attended the Clovis West High School, and later graduated from the University of San Diego with an academic scholarship in 2003.

Heidi's love for sports is derived from her family; Watney family was the family immersed to their nose in sports. Heidi's father, Lon, was a golf coach for Fresco State men's golf team for 35 years before quitting in 2013. Lon has coached many professional golfers throughout his career, including his nephew and Heidi's cousin, Nick Watney.

Apart from her father, Heidi's elder sister is also a sportsperson and coaches women's volleyball team for the Fresco Pacific University.

Brother's Death Left Her Distraught

Growing up, Heidi was very close to one of her brother, Dusty who was born with Prader Willi Syndrome. When Dusty passed away in April 2018, she was left distraught. However, her large family helped her smother the loss of her brother.

Additionally, she also started a donation campaign for PWS awareness, to help other people suffering from the same disease, and for her own peace of mind. Helping other people to not suffer the same fate her brother suffered from was the best eulogy for her brother.

Salary Earned As SportsCaster

During her early days, Heidi worked as a host and sports anchor for KMPH-TV and KFIG-AM radio in Fresno, California. She also worked for KUSI News as a sports reporter and assistant producer located in San Diego.

Heidi then joined New England Sports Network(NESN) as the Boston Red Sox field reporter in 2008. She provided live game and pre and post games to the spectators.

She worked with NESN for three years until she joined MLB Network. She covers special events with the network and serves as a reporter at the World series, Postseason and All-Star Game. 

Talented anchor and reporter Heidi has made a handsome fortune to herself through her career in sports journalism. With Heidi having established herself as one of the most prominent sportscasters with the network she commands a salary higher than what the average employee is paid.

Apart from that, she also earns from various endorsements and advertisements. She is the brand ambassador of the popular sports kits company Nike and Adidas as well.

Heidi Watney Found Her Husband Through Baseball

Heidi relationship with baseball is more than of a sports journalist.

She was previously rumored to be dating then Red Sox catcher Jason Varitek. The rumors started catching fire after the pair was seen involved in an intimate conversation at a Baltimore bar in 2008. But later Watney responded to the claims about Jason being her boyfriend and rubbished away the rumors as being false and idiotic.

After the rumors with Jason, her love life remained hidden from the cameras until 2015, when news about her marriage surfaced to the media.

Found once again through baseball, she married baseball executive Mike Wickham on the first day of  2015 in a grand wedding.

Welcomes First Child With Husband Making Large Family Even Larger

After marrying her long-term boyfriend Mike Wickham, everything for Heidi was like a dream come true. She has been engaged in making beautiful everlasting moments with her husband. 

Heidi celebrated her first wedding anniversary with husband by penning him a sweet note and wrote that time flew with him by her side and wanted to make even more memories with him.

And the couple had little munchkin to celebrate after she revealed her first pregnancy on Instagram on 26 January 2018 and welcomed son Jax in May 2018.  She posted a picture of her enjoying her time with the newborn son Jax and husband Mike in The Ritz- Caltron in June 2018 and also reminisced about her brother, Dusty claiming it to be his favorite place.

On the special occasion of Jax turning a month, Heidi on Instagram expressed how her life had changed after having Jax on her life.

Heidi also took her son to meet his great-grandparents in June and wrote that Jax was the 23rd great-grandchild the couple shared. With a family of 24 cousins, she also wrote that the family had expanded after her newest arrival.

For now, Heidi has been spending most of her time with her family. The couple has been taking out time for themselves and the baby from their hectic work life to make special everlasting mementos.
