I Know What You Did Last Summer, both book and movie trilogy, has a massive fan base. The cult classic movies are the epitome of the slasher genre, which ruled the entertainment industry in the late 90s and early 2000s.

According to Deadline, Amazon Studios announced they were making a series named I Know What You Did Last Summer in 2019. It is based on a 1973 novel of the same name.

The first four episodes released on October 15, 2021, and the remaining will release weekly. While the series is making headlines in its own right, it is also turning heads because of one particular scene.

Trisha Paytas’ Breakdown Mentioned

Trisha Paytas is one of the most controversial influencers on YouTube. They have had beef with many online personalities, including Ethan and Hila Klein, Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star, The Vlog Squad, and Nikita Dragun

Paytas is very open about their feud with people and uploads their point of view on their YouTube channel. They often reflect on their mental health, and their unfiltered reaction to drama has been labeled as breakdowns.

As a result, Paytas’ breakdowns are infamous and have divided people into two categories — one is concerned for their mental health, whereas the other makes memes out of it.

I Know What You Did Last Summer followed the latter and mentioned Paytas in the series. In Episode 3, Brianne Tju’s character Margot makes a controversial joke regarding Paytas’ mental health.

She says, “Do not die. I mean it. I will have a literal Trisha Paytas breakdown if you die.” This comment got a lot of backlashes, and people reacted differently on Twitter.

However, one person was happy about this and found the comment funny. It was none other than Paytas.

Trisha Paytas' Reaction

Paytas came to know about the scene after a fan uploaded the snippet of the series on Twitter and tagged them. Initially, they were surprised and did not believe what they were seeing.

Their reaction differed from most people, since they seemed happy about it. They re-uploaded the snippet on their Instagram and put the hashtag of the series on the caption with a laughing emoji.

Similarly, they also took to Instagram stories to upload the screenshot of Margot in the scene with laughing emojis as the caption. Again, many people have commented and tweeted that the mention was not a compliment.

Regardless, Paytas does not care about the negativity and is happy about being mentioned in the show. This reaction from Paytas threw people off, since many believed they would throw a tantrum.

But these days, they are working on themselves, and it is evident from their social media. For example, they recently launched a YouTube channel called My Chemical Imbalance just for daily affirmations, meditations, and manifestations.

Similarly, they are also battling the insecurity of their weight and working on it. According to their Instagram, for the past four months, their weight loss journey has been compelling. They have lost more than 30lbs over the duration of the time and will likely take it further.

All in all, Paytas is working on themselves, which is benefiting their physical and mental health.
