Terri Irwin's dating status and the possibility of having a new husband have always been a matter of curiosity for her fans, at least since her husband, the famous Steve Irwin, died in a stingray accident on September 4, 2006. 

The zookeeper was filming his documentary, Ocean's Deadliest, in the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland when a short-tail stingray accidentally pierced his chest with its barb. Steve succumbed to the trauma at the spot. 

Irwin and Steve, who tied the knot in 1992, were married until the unfortunate incident.

Does Terri Irwin Have a New Husband?

Since her husband's death, the animal conversationalist has been romantically linked to multiple men, most from the entertainment industry. 

The most famous of her rumored relationship was with the Gladiator actor Russell Crowe, with whom she was spotted together at the Australia Week Gala in Los Angeles, California, in 2007. 

The appearance had everyone wondering if Irwin was dating Crowe. 

"He is very lucky to be embroiled in all of these great rumors," Irwin had joked while addressing the rumors during her appearance on Access Hollywood Live (via Us Weekly) on May 12, 2017. 

Then she cleared the air, saying they were good friends and only that. 

In her own words, Russell and her late husband had become friends many years ago, and he remained as their family friend even after his death. 

"Russell has been very loyal as a great friend," Irwin added, recalling that he had helped them protect the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve. 

In the same interview, the mother-of-two also mentioned she still felt connected with her late husband, implying she had dated no one after his demise. 

Although Irwin claimed to be single, there were rumors of her romantic rapports with fellow celebrities like John Travolta and Richard Wilkins. 

In 2020, Wilkins took to Instagram to refute his supposed dating relationship with Irwin. He posted a magazine cover picture that featured them as a couple. 

In the caption, the television presenter unhesitantly stated that the story was disrespectful to him, his partner Nicola, Irwin, and her families. 

Referring to the gossip as fabricated "nonsense," he wondered if there was no other necessary stuff in the world to write about. 

Before that, Irwin was reportedly relishing a romantic getaway at the Lady Elliot Island in 2018.  

She was also linked to the late cricketer Shane Warne in May 2020. They were thought to have met at the set of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2016. 

However, no proof that he was the potential new husband for Irwin ever surfaced. Instead, Irwin came forward to confront all the dating rumors.

In an interview with The Courier Mail (via Dailymail) in November 2021, Irwin addressed the persistent rumors about her personal life.

The 57-year-old shared that she had stopped counting the numbers of men she supposedly had flings with.

She had been linked with at least 25 men the last time she counted and knew Travolta was the latest to the mix. 

Irwin opined that the major reason behind people's curiosity regarding her dating status was that she had become a widow at a young age. 

As per her accounts, when a woman becomes single, people naturally speculate if she might look for a potential new husband. 

Irwin clarified she was not looking for a new husband or a partner to marry again. 

I keep saying this, and I think maybe 15 years later people are finally starting to believe me, Steve was it for me.

She remarked she had an enormous love for her late husband, and it was enough to last a lifetime.

Irwin also mentioned she was comfortable with her singlehood and was "too busy" to be chasing for a new husband. 

Meanwhile, she is spending her time on her lifelong cause of conserving animals and enjoying her days as a grandmother at the age of 57.

True to her statements, Irwin hasn't been dating or married a new husband. Instead, she showcases her undying love for her late husband through her social media handles. 

On 2022 Valentine's Day, she shared a sweet tribute for Steve on Instagram, posting an olden picture that saw them kissing while near the crocodile enclosure in Australia Zoo uniforms. 

In the caption, she recalled how she and Steve would always have time for each other before they started working on their Australia Zoo home. 

She wrote, "Before feeding our beautiful crocodiles @AustraliaZoo, there was always a moment for love!" adding Happy Valentine's Day as a hashtag.
