Former American reality star Ryan Edwards was arrested in June 2018 for a drug-related offense. Instead of the news proving to be a heartache for his former girlfriend, she was thrilled by the news.

The Tennessee native gained his popularity appearing on the first season's first episode of MTV's reality series, 16 and Pregnant. He was also cast in another reality series, Teen Mom.

Ryan Fathered First Baby At 20 Years Of Age

Born on January 3, 1988, Ryan Edwards met his to-be 'teen mom' Maci Bookout during his teenage. And the couple swiftly progressed to a live-in relationship. Not just that Maci few months after their love flourished, Maci, who herself was in her teenage, revealed that she was pregnant. 

The pregnancy brought over scrutiny to the couple as they became a part of documentary reality series 16 and Pregnant, a show which chronicled the hardships faced by teenage mothers during their pregnancy. 

Ryan was just 20 years old when his son, Bentley Edwards was born on 27 October 2008 from his then-girlfriend, Maci.

The duo got engaged to get married in 2009, but Ryan's indifferent behavior towards their child as well as plans for a wedding caused Maci to end the relationship in the garage of his parent's house.

His Multiple Dating Affairs

After his failed relationship with his baby mama Maci,  Ryan has had quite a few names in his dating list. He was in a relationship with Dalis Connell in 2011. 

The relationship with Dalis had a positive impact on him. He and Maci learned to put aside their differences and started functioning as supportive parents for Bentley. Not just that, he also celebrated his birthday with his former flame and son in 2013. However, as with Maci, his relationship with Dalis ended in 2012.

After Dalis, he dated Shelby Woods, who also appeared on a few episodes of Teen Mom OG series. Moreover, he was linked with several names such as Kirsten Cooper and Jordan Brown.

Twice Married Mackenzie Standifer In 2017

After having been a part of multiple failed relationships, he was all in with his girlfriend, Mackenzie Standifer. 

The pair had first met at the gym in Chattanooga, and Ryan subsequently asked her for dinner. After dating for several periods, they got engaged with each other in December 2016. The couple tied the knot on a secret wedding ceremony in May 2017 before Ryan headed to rehab because of his drug issues.

They got married for the second time in November 2017. The ceremony, held in the church was witnessed by dozens of their closest friends and family members.

Despite it being the first marriage for Ryan, Mackenzie was previously married once.  She and her previous partner Zachary Stephens had a son, Hudson together from their marriage before their split. 

Ryan And Wife Leave Teen Mom OG After Issues About Their Unborn Baby

The newly married pair had been enjoying the spotlight of Teen Mom OG, a spinoff to 16 And Pregnant when they broke heartbreaking news to their fans. 

Ryan and his wife Mackenzie announced that would be leaving Teen Mom OG series, in July 2018. They cited their unborn baby's contracts with the MTV as the reason for them leaving the show. The couple had announced that they are expecting a child on the show in April 2018 a month after another Teen Mom star Chelsea Houska had announced her pregnancy.

The network insiders, however, claimed that the network did not want to show Ryan as a recovering addict from drug due to which they blocked his return to the show.

Ryan Is Arrested For Drugs Possession In 2018

Just after their announcement of expecting a baby, Ryan was arrested on 23rd July 2018. He was charged with affrays related to possession of heroin and is being held in the Hamilton County Jail without bond.

However, it was not his first arrest as he has already been arrested and released several times. He was previously arrested in March of the same year for violating terms of his probation stemming from a prior heroin possession charge.

He has also spent several times in rehab in relation to his drugs addiction but has failed to come out sober after every term.

Ryan's Ex-Girlfriend Happy With His Arrest In Relation To Drugs

While Ryan is spending his time in jail, his ex-partner, Maci has been thrilled by the news for the cause.

According to HollywoodLife.com Maci is expecting that it will save Ryan’s life and help get him sober. She thinks that it is a massive relief because at least he still alive and has a chance to beat the risk of overdose.

Ryan's ex and his wife are no strangers about his drugs addiction and possession. His wife, Mackenzie had revealed in November 2017 that he used to spend $10,000 a week on drugs before entering rehab.
