Brooke Elliott has spoken freely of Hollywood’s disregard of plus-size women and implications thus ensued. She has dealt with body image issues herself in the past.

The 43-year-old is known for the portrayal of a character, Jane Bingum on the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva. She also received high praises for her recording of the original soundtrack for the same.

Her silver screen debut on Mel Gibson movie What Women Want in 2001 marks her official entry in the show-biz. In a male-dominated comic circuit, she’s considered one of few funny women who can go toe to toe with her male counterparts.

She currently stars in the still unnamed ABC comedy pilot created by Bobby Bowman slated to be released in late 2018.

Drop Dead Diva's Humble Beginning, Net Worth

Is Brooke Married? Husband, Partner Or Single?

On the sets of Drop Dead Diva, Brooke turns into a plus-sized attorney with aspirations for modeling and is in a problematic relationship with the boyfriend turned fiance Owen French. The two are a part of an on-off relationship and decide to part for good after irreconcilable differences.

Her real-life relationship status has been similar to her reel life as she has had husbands and partners only in speculations and fantasies.

A profile by Jessica Radloff for Glamour on Brooke revealed the former Babes With Blades member was indeed in a relationship. The article dates back to June 1, 2012. Her relationship status since then has been kept ‘low-key.’

Questions as to whether she’s married to her above-stated partner or not has been a topic of discussion for many moons. Likewise, speculations as to who could be her future-husband have hit the tabloids once every year.

Speaking best to our knowledge, we can almost guarantee that she’s not married. A more likely scenario would be: she’s either looking for a partner to settle down as she approaches 50 or she already has one in mind.

And while some may be concerned for Brooke's singleness, they don't have to worry too much, as she is living her life to the fullest and enjoying her time without being involved in a romantic affair.

She even met Dolly Parton during an event and god knows she didn't hold back to share the exciting moment on her Twitter on 27 September 2018, as her caption of the picture synchronized with the picture itself; speechless.

This theory would fit well with her recent transformation as she went through a massive weight loss, appearing less chubbier in 2017.

Weight Loss Measures Does Magic

The former Broadway star has long struggled with her body image all the while advocating for the involvement of more plus-sized women in Hollywood. In a 2010 interview, she argued that the average American woman could relate more to a plus-sized woman than your typical actress in Hollywood.

Her recent weight loss measures are by no means a contradictory sentiment but rather cited as health-related.

Thick or thin, the skin you carry should make you comfortable, and after years of carrying a plus size image, she has gone for the change with her weight loss measures.
