American sports broadcaster Jen Lada married a fellow sports reporter. Since then, she led a 'happily ever after' kind of life!

The Chicago, Ilinois-native is an ESPN sports broadcaster, who has served as a host and contributor for its flagship programs Baseball Tonight and College Gameday. She also makes contributions to ESPN’s award-winning storytelling brand SC Featured. In addition to that, she is also a content creator for the network's digital platforms.

On 24 August 2018, Michelle Beadle announced that she would be leaving ESPN's morning show Get Up at the end of the month. Replacing one of the highest paid female sportscasters is a tough task, which is why ESPN announced a capable rotating cast of Jen Lada, Maria Taylor, Laura Rutledge, Mina Kimes and Dianna Russini. As for Beadle, she will return to Los Angeles joining the network’s new show called NBA Countdown.

ESPN's Jen Lada's Bio: Age, Family

Jen was born on 14 January 1981 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He grew up nearby the country of Spring Grove, alongside her parents and three siblings.

Attending the Marian Central Catholic High School, she graduated from Marquette University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

Subsequently, she began her career as a reporter for Fox network based in Milwaukee. Then, she moved on to Comcast SportsNet; she covered the NFL's Chicago Bulls and the MLB's Chicago White Sox.

In July 2015, Lada joined ESPN. A year later, she became a features reporter for the game show, College GameDay and a host for another one called College Football Live.

She has made several guest host appearances on a variety of ESPN Radio and television shows, including Baseball Tonight and First Take.

In 2017, Jen started working as the guest host and contributor for programs including Baseball Tonight and College Gameday.

Her dedication as she appeared on several ESPN radio program saw her earn a full-time role with ESPN.

In addition to that, Lada has earned College Sports Media awards for Outstanding Sports Feature for her stories, Heart of a Tiger and Texas Strong.

Jen Lada is married to Fox’s Brewers & Bucks Host/Reporter, Dario Melendez. The couple tied the knot on 2 October 2017. Her husband became the perfect step-father to her son from her previous marriage.

Before marrying her 'perfect' husband, she had welcomed her first child with her former husband and fellow Marquette grad, Sean Reti in 2009. The Marquette-grad couple of the same batch had gotten married in 2006.

Jen Lada, At Age 37, & Her Husband Welcome Their First Child, Baby Girl

After a few months as husband and wife, Jen and her husband, Dario had pleasant news to share with their loved ones and their fans.

On 8 January 2018, she surprised everyone as she shared a picture showing her baby bump, revealing that she had been pregnant. A month later, she gave birth to an adorable baby girl named Layla.
