Who Is RHONY Star Leah McSweeney’s Husband? Details about Her Romantic Life

Fashion designer and reality star Leah McSweeney is one of the newest additions to The Real Housewives of New York City family. She joined the show's cast in the 12th season, which premiered on April 2, 2020.

McSweeney, the founder of women's streetwear line Married to the Mob, quickly came into the spotlight for her amicable relationship with her ex-boyfriend and her baby’s daddy Rob Cristofaro.

Leah McSweeney and Rob Cristofaro’s Relationship Timeline

McSweeney and Cristofaro have not openly talked about when they met or started dating yet.

But in one of the episodes of RHONY, McSweeney stated that her baby's father was her first love with whom she had expected to grow old together.

The businesswoman also worked at his streetwear business, Alife, before starting her own streetwear line, Married To The Mob, in 2004.

A couple of years later, McSweeney got pregnant with Cristofaro’s baby during 2006’s Fashion Week. She finally welcomed a daughter named Kier in May 2007.

McSweeney and Cristofaro reportedly also bought a property together in the Catskill Mountains in 2008. They purchased a small home in Barryville, New York, for $305,000, which sat on more than three acres of private land.

However, that was not enough to prevent their split. The two called it quits in 2008 when Kier was about 2 years old.

Co-parenting Their Daughter

Despite being separated for over a decade now, the two manage a friendly relationship to provide a good upbringing for their daughter.

McSweeney and Cristofaro are often seen together with their daughter, mostly on Love & Hip Hop: New York star’s Instagram. McSweeney even dedicated a Father's Day post on June 11, 2021, to him and thanked him for being "the supportive, amazing father to Kier and co-parent."

During a conversation on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in 2020, McSweeney also clarified that she wouldn’t rekindle her relationship with Cristofaro.

“We have great chemistry as friends and co-parents and exes,” she added. “If me and him were dating or trying to have a relationship together or live together, we would hate each other and be ruining our daughter's life.”

The RHONY star further made it clear that she was single at the moment and hadn’t planned to get married or having a husband.

Who Is Rob Cristofaro?

McSweeney’s ex-boyfriend Cristofaro is the co-founder and creative director of streetwear business Alife.

He launched the company in 1999 as a creative workshop with three business partners, which continued to inspire artists and musicians even after it evolved into a clothing brand.

His LinkedIn profile also indicates that he has been involved as a member of the art department at Married to the Mob since January 2004. 

Cristofaro, who is based in New York City, attended the School of Visual Arts, located in Manhattan.
