American sportscaster Lauren Shehadi had kept her private life under wraps until one day she spilled the tea, albeit unintentionally, and fans finally connected the dots.

At present, she hosts MLB Central with 16-year MLB veteran turned sports contributor Mark DeRosa and American sports journalist Robert Flores. The show provides the latest news in the game, in-depth analysis with baseball-related guests, and entertaining on-field highlights.

The 35-year-old Virginia native has gained recognition as a sportscaster for the Major League Baseball (MLB) network. She has completed seven years of her career hosting and reporting for MLB.

Her skilled reporting and omnipresent appeal have made her a fan-favorite among the audiences of the network.

That's why, in 2010, she was nominated for Playboy’s ‘Sexiest Sportscaster’ contest where other sportscasters, including Molly Sullivan, Bonnie Bernstein, Charissa Thompson, and Erin Andrews, were also nominated.

The MLB sportscaster was born on May 23, 1983, in McLean, Virginia. As for her ethnicity, she has a mixed ethnic heritage: part Lebanese and part American. Replying to a fan’s question on Twitter in 2013, she revealed that her last name had its roots in Lebanon.

She received her high school degree from Langley High School in 2001. After graduation, she enrolled at the University of Florida. There she got her initiation into the world of sports media.

While in college, Shehadi had hosted an online web show GatorZone, where she covered the University of Florida's football team, Florida Gators.

Well, it was not her college that pushed her on being a sportscaster. She was all set to be in the sports industry from a rather young age. She fell in love with baseball at the age of 12.

So when she posted the photo of her promoting a non-profit, Project Sunshine, on Instagram on February 9, 2018, her fans were quick to notice a nice rock on her left hand ring finger. It didn’t take much time before they started to speculate she had gotten engaged.

Four days before the post, a fan who claimed to have felt aggravated after seeing her flaunt the 'possible engagement ring' asked her if she had gotten married.

However, the MLB sportscaster is yet to comment on the rumors, leaving her fans more anxious than ever.

But, she somehow made it clear that she was engaged. Even after three months of speculations thanks to the the engagement ring in February, she was seen wearing the same ring on her engagement finger.

The ring was spotted again when she posted a video on her Instagram on May 23 where she was interviewing New York Yankees' designated hitter, Giancarlo Stanton.
