Nolan Gould and fellow actor Coy Stewart featured as gay teen boyfriends in rapper Logic's inspiring pro-LGBTQ music video, 1-800-273-8255.

The storyline follows a gay, black teenager (Stewart) who nearly takes his own life after his family and friends find out that he’s gay and is dating a white male (played by Gould).

On the video, the two on-screen gay actors are caught together in bed. Then the bullying begins for Stewart’s character, followed by his struggles with coming to terms with his sexuality--that he almost kills himself with a gun.

Speaking with TooFab shortly after the video release, Nolan and Coy talked about the strong LGBTQ message, suicide awareness theme, and the music video wanted to deliver.

The stars involved in the video wanted to deliver an encouraging support in an age where the suicide rates are rising due to various factors.

Nolan Gould On Dating Co-star, Ariel Winter: "I love her, but she's a really good friend"

Although Ariel plays the sister to Nolan’s Luke on Modern Family, the pair were once shipped together. Moreover, Gould was even asked whether there was any possibility on the duo to be dating on some point.

Speaking on the Allegedly podcast with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss in May 2016, the three discussed several topics including the teen actor’s dating life. When asked about his co-star, Ariel Winter, he said,

No, I love her, but she's a really good friend. We grew up together.

It's an interesting world for young kids, to have another person go through the exact same thing as you and be able to talk about that, I would never wanna waste that.  

Gould explained and added that he wouldn't want to risk his friendship with her. He also disclosed that he couldn’t see himself dating any of his co-stars, regardless of how beautiful they were because despite being his on-screen family, they’ve really grown into a real one for him.
