Dancer and actress Maddie Ziegler is in a happy relationship with her boyfriend, Eddie Benjamin.

She has reportedly been dating him since late 2019 — but initially, she kept the relationship away from the spotlight.

How Maddie Ziegler Met Boyfriend Eddie Benjamin

Ziegler, who rose to fame with Lifetime’s reality show Dance Moms at a young age, first came across her boyfriend on Instagram.

Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar Singapore in September 2021, she revealed that she often saw Benjamin on her social media and followed his music. And it was just a matter of time before she messaged him on the platform.

“It was so random. I was a fan of him on Instagram and we started talking,” the actress told the tabloid, admitting that she made the first move by sliding into Benjamin’s DMs.

The two eventually agreed to be on a date and planned to meet with friends at The Grove, a famous mall in LA.

The Fallout star continued to share, “It was so quick, and we were friends for over a year before we got together.”

On the other hand, when Benjamin was asked about his first impression of Ziegler during the same interview, he said that he was drawn to her as a person.

He also praised her warm nature and stated how loving and artistic she was. “There are certain people in this world who are just a little more colourful than others and she’s definitely one of them,” he added.

Eddie Benjamin Is a Musician

While Ziegler is renowned as a dancer and actress, Benjamin is a skilled musician and producer, most known for working alongside his mentor, Justin Bieber.

Benjamin reportedly released his first single in 2020, shortly after settling in the United States. He then released his debut EP, Emotional, in April 2021.

His EP also had some noteworthy cameos, including a collaboration with Aussie songstress Sia for the track 'Diamond Eyes.'

In addition, one of his music videos, 'Speechless,' a stripped-back meditation on young love, features his girlfriend Ziegler as well.

Not just that, he was featured in Bieber’s YouTube documentary, Justin Bieber: Next Chapter, in 2020. He has also produced music for the likes of Meghan Trainor and Earth, Wind & Fire.

During an interview with GQ in October 2021, he implied that he was confident in his ability to help inspire change in music.

“I want to bring some of that respect back to music,” he said.

Maddie Ziegler and Eddie Benjamin Are Best Friends

Ziegler and Benjamin might be dating and are girlfriend and boyfriend, but they see each other as best friends.

The West Side Story actress admitted the fact while speaking with Hoda and Jenna on Today in January 2022.

She stated that she and Benjamin had been best friends before they started dating, and even after they got into a relationship, their friendship stayed as it was.
