Did Carrie Underwood Get Plastic Surgery or Was She Really in an Accident?

Carrie Underwood has been in the music industry for over a decade since winning American Idol in 2005. 

She has transformed beautifully through these years, making fans wonder if she has gotten plastic surgery.

And while some refuse to talk about their plastic surgery and keep everyone wondering, Underwood addressed it in 2017. 

The speculations started after she “came clean” about an accident that injured her. She claimed she was taking her dogs out for a walk in November 2017 when she tripped and fell onto a stair in front of her house. 

With one hand wrapped around the dog’s leash, she tried to catch herself with the other but injured her wrist and face when she hit the ground.

“I didn’t realize how bad it was. I feel like anytime anything happens, it’s adrenaline or something. So you don’t really know until you take a second to assess,” she told Ellen DeGeneres.

After that, the country singer spent several months in hiding to heal the 40-50 stitches she had gotten for her face and the surgery for a broken wrist. 

Fans Suspect Carrie Underwood Got Plastic Surgery 

While healing, Underwood hid her face from the public and uploaded suspicious selfies that mostly featured her eyes. 

And when she finally revealed her face, everyone found it questionable that she did not have any scars on her face even though she had gotten 40 stitches. 

With everyone curious, Life & Style approached a plastic surgeon to weigh in on Underwood’s plastic surgery rumors. 

Speaking on how Underwood might have avoided the scarring, New York-based plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer explained one could get laser, micro-needling, topical treatments, injecting medications, and dermal fillers. 

The surgeon added that the songstress could have also done some procedures to achieve her glowing appearance.

They explained Underwood had defined and fuller-looking cheeks indicating dermal filler such as Voluma was used for the augmentation and added she could have gotten Botox for the smooth skin. 

And while everyone was speculating about what she had done, she was going through turmoil. 

“I’m on some magazine every other week for something crazy. It’s a little sad, because the truth is just as interesting. I wish I’d gotten some awesome plastic surgery to make this [scar] look better,” said the country music superstar. 

Skeptics Question the Validity of Carrie Underwood’s Story

Despite Underwood denying that she had not gone under the knife, skeptics were not so sure and convinced there was more to the story.

Over on Twitter, they were leaving their thoughts on the songstress’ new look. 

“While I am sure Carrie Underwood had an awful mishap, there is not one iota of a scar anywhere. That is either amazing makeup, surgery or a lot to do about nothing to build up to a great performance and a standing ovation,” a user tweeted. 

Even celebrities like Wendy Williams doubted her story. During an episode on her talk show, she said the singer might have gone under the knife. 

“She allegedly fell down a bunch of steps at her house, broke her wrist. She released on Twitter that we may not recognize her when it’s all said and done. An excuse for a facelift! We’re cynical! She was already cute, so I don’t know what she’s doing or what happened,” said Williams.
