Born on December 10, 1989, Symone Sanders grew up in Omaha, Nebraska with her parents Daniel Sanders and Terry Sanders and two siblings Avery and El Danilo Sanchez.

Sanders is an LGBTQ activist and a proud black woman and as a woman of color on the rise, she has faced many unwelcoming actions and comments towards her. But she is not someone who stays in silence instead she is very vocal about the issues.

Recently in April 2018, the journalist was detained by police at LaGuardia Airport in New York City for detailed security check. But she did not let it happen, she allegedly refused for the actions to be taken.

This was not her first security check issue as previously she was in controversy for similar incidents with American Airlines, where Police had to be called.

Moreover, Sanders' is regularly on the news for her outrageous comments on social media. On one such instance, she flattened out an anonymous social media user when he commented about her nails. In 2018 when someone told her that her long shiny nails were inappropriate for someone with a job like hers she couldn’t keep her calm. She openly spoke against it in a series of tweets.
