McKinzie was married to her childhood boyfriend, Patrick Michael Roth.

They met when McKinzie was 11-year-old. The duo used to live only three doors apart when they started dating each other.

McKinzie and Patrick were in the relationship for eight years before they officially tied the knot on February 14, 2004.

At that time, she worked for Act I Modeling Agency, whereas Patrick was the district manager at National Wine and Spirits.

On February 17, 2010, they also welcomed their first baby, a daughter named Lucy.

McKinzie even expressed her gratitude towards her then-husband through an Instagram post [which is deleted now] on Father's Day in 2018.

It is unclear if she meant to say that she had no husband or just that her husband was not there for the picture in the post [which featured her family].
