It was announced in August 2018 that Lamorne would be joining the set of Bloodshot alongside Vin Diesel, Toby Kebbell, Eiza Gonzalez, Michael Sheen, Talulah Riley, Sam Heughan, and Alex Hernandez.

Bloodshot is an upcoming American superhero film that is directed by Dave Wilson and written by Eric Heisserer, which is based on the superhero of the Valiant Comics and is intended to be the inauguratory film in the Valiant Cinematic Universe.

Lamorne is taking on the role of scientist Wilfred Wigans who eventually becomes an unlikely ally of Bloodshot. The initially published Bloodshot of 1992 surrounds a mortally wounded soldier who embraces powers of regeneration and meta-morphing that are made possible through nano-machines within his bloodstream. Yeah, science is everywhere.

Lamorne is dating the 28 years old American television host Erin Lim. Erin works as a correspondent for an entertainment magazine, E! News.

The couple has been together since July 2016 as per an intimate picture on their social account, but they had not confirmed their relationship until 2017. Their relationship only surfaced in the media more than a year after Erin got a surprise from Lamorne to attend the 2017 Emmy Awards in September 2017.

Talking on the Awards show, Erin mentioned Lamorne as her boyfriend and stated that it was a fantastic surprise from him and the duo was later seen cozying up at the event.
