Tamara was reportedly handling PR for Cantore for the channel. They officially divorced in 2006.

Jim and his then-wife Tamara welcomed their first child, a daughter named Christina, in 1993. Later in 1995, Tamara gave birth to a son named Ben.

As the couple was raising the kids, Tamara was diagnosed with the neurological disease Parkinson’s Disease, and both their children suffered from Fragile X syndrome, a genetic condition that results in both mental (intellectual and behavioral) and physical disability. 

Consequently, the couple's marital relationship suffered. Ultimately, they got divorced in 2009. However, Jim still shares the same love for his children and spends time with his daughter and son, as per his social media.

After 2019, both Andrea and Jim's social media profiles didn't feature one another, which seemingly suggested to fans that their relationship had ended.

When the dating scenario with Andrea was not confirmed, Jim got linked with one of his colleagues from TWC, Alexandra Steele. They were seen having lots of fun together as anchors of the 7 p.m. Eastern hour of Weather Center, which sparked the dating rumor among fans. But they were not spotted cozying up together in the public eye.
