Born on 8 May 1987 in Chesterfield, Virginia, Terrell graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA in 2009. The faculty awarded him a prestigious alumni award. He also received a full-term scholarship for broadcasting excellence in television from the National Press Club.

He became an anchor/reporter for WWBT-TV, the NBC station in Richmond, Virginia from 2005-2009. There, he anchored the highest rated weekend morning newscast and filled-in on weekday newscasts. Adding to that, he also contributed to the station's award-winning live and breaking news new coverage.

Cheryl Burton, who was promoted to anchor of ABC 7 Chicago's Eyewitness News at 10 PM in 2018. Replacing anchor Kathy Brock, she has been co-anchoring the top-rated 10 PM newscast with Alan Krashesky since June 2018.

Although all investigation point to the direction that Terrell is taken and happy with his reported 'girlfriend' Ashley, neither of the pair have openly commented about their union. So, without the evidence verified by them, it's immature to confirm that they're in a happy relationship together.
