Hip-Hop personality Irv Gotti had not always been the most faithful husband. But now, he may have found a savior in the form of his wife to absolve him from the life of an infidel.

The 48-year-old music executive rose to prominence after producing the single Can I Live off the 1996 Jay-Z album titled Reasonable Doubt. Since then he has produced many hit records for various artists and started his own imprint Murder Inc.

Behind The Scenes: Irv takes fans on tour to the set of the BET series Tales (Posted on 21 July 2017)

Nowadays he can be seen producing TV and reality shows and appearing on VH1’s flagship franchise Hop & Hip Hop alongside socialite Erica Mena and other hip-hop personalities.

His BET series Tales - which was aired on 27 June 2017 - was renewed for a second season and slated to drop later this year. In March 2018, reports of Irv signing a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music was made public.

Season 2 of Tales is all set to premiere its first episode on BET on April 23, 2019. Each episode will tell a new "tale" inspired by past and current hip-hop songs weaved into stories. Veteran music personalities Ben Vereen, Mary J Blige, and Rick Ross are all set to star in the season two of Irv Gotti’s hit series, Tales, and the news has been officially confirmed on 20th December 2018 by the Shows' broadcasting channel BET.

Irv's Career: Record Label's Success During The Turn Of Century

Born Irving Domingo Lorenzo, Jr. Irv first production credit is on Mic Geronimo 1994 record titled Shit’s Real. Four years later, the hip-hop beatsmith produced Can I Get A.. -- a Jay Z single featuring Amil and Ja Rule.

In 1999, he crafted an instrumental which would later find placement on DMX’s third album And Then There Was X.

The Hip-Hop producer found his niche, sing-songy rap targeted mainly for the radio audience, in the 2000s as he produced strings of hits: Between Me and You(Ja Rule ft. Christina Milian), What’s Luv? (Fat Joe ft. Ashanti & Ja Rule), I’m The Real(Jennifer Lopez ft. Ja Rule), Foolish(Ashanti), and Gangsta Lovin(Eve ft. Alicia Keys) to name a few.

Iconic Murder Inc. Records Faces Steep Challenge

Irv with his brother, Chris co-founded Murder Inc. records in 1997. In its formative years, the record label housed many successful artists such as Ja Rule, Ashanti, Lloyd, Ashanti, Christina Milian, and Vanessa Carlton.

Sadly his label hasn’t been able to put a chart-topping single since 2003. It was during the same year an investigation against the brothers accusing of money laundering for their association with the New York City drug Kingpin Kenneth McGriff took place. Despite having been acquitted of all charges their golden goose record label could not hit the early heights.

Similarly, he does not forget to wish on his mother, Nee Nee's birthday through his social sites. The Murder Inc.'s head-honcho was the youngest of eight siblings born into a poor family.

As the creator of hit series Tales aired on BET, he now holds a net-worth of 60 Million dollars.

Married Former Taz Angel, Ashley Martelle

The Hip-Hop personality is married to Ashley Martelle. His wife, Ashley’s a former Taz Angel -- Urban dictionary defines Taz Angels as escorts who live in a mansion in DC, partying day and night.

In August 2016, his then-girlfriend, Ashley posted a video of performing oral sex with him on snap chat, leading to a public backlash against him online.

Harboring Girlfriends Against Wife Wishes

Irv is all too familiar with scandals; In October 2013 - after years of cheating allegations and harboring girlfriends across the states - he and his ex-wife called it quits. He and his ex-wife, Debbie have three kids together, eldest and youngest sons Sonny Gotti, JJ Gotti, and middle daughter Angie Gotti.

In a 2009 interview with Essence, despite still working on the same reality show Gotti’s Way together, Debbie was adamant about Irv changing his cheating ways and confessed that there was nothing between them.

Their divorce seems to have been a long overdue process. Speaking to The Guardian in 2002, the Can I Live producer admitted to cheating on his wife with mistresses and girlfriends.

Despite the separation, Irv maintains the sound relationship with his ex-wife Debbie. Marking the occasion of Mother's Day 2018, he wished his "Babies Mama" for having amazing kids. On caption, he stated that Debbie deserves 50 percent credit for their children and he will always be there for her till the end.

The Hip-Hop producer seems to have put his cheating ways behind him and learned from his mistakes because after being married to Ashley, new cheating allegations have yet to surface. His second wife, Ashley is his second chance at making the first impression.

He is already done with ex-lover Ashley who was 20 years younger than him and has shut down any idea of rekindling any flames with her through his Instagram.

Gotti has found his new love interest in the 26-year-old model and aspiring actress Val Mercado, who was previously linked to American rapper Tyga. Irv has himself officiated the relationship through his Instagram in August 2018.

We have to wait and watch how long the new relationship of the 49-year-old music executive with Val lasts, having a past record of many failed relationships and cheatings.
