Keo Motsepe’s Love For Dancing Started At Early Age

Before Keo found his love for dancing, he was pursuing a career in football. However, his mother and a friend insisted that his feet were meant for dancing than football.

At the age of 5, the same friend took him to a neighborhood dance studio. Suddenly his feet had its own mind; dancing to the rhythm of the music and his emotion. Subsequently, his family enrolled him in dance school. It took him only a year to start competing on an amateur level.

With some high praise from his first dancing coach, his family made a tough choice to send him away from home to unlock his true potential. He moved in with his dance partner’s family, where they began practicing daily.

At age 11, Motsepe’s relentless practices gave him the opportunity to represent South Africa in international Latin ballroom dance competitions. By age 14, he won his first title of South African Latin Dance Champion, a contest he went on to win eight years in a row afterward.
