American television host and designer, Genevieve Gorder is prepared on getting married again. With the trauma of a previous life behind her, she is intent on starting her new relationship on a clean slate.  

Genevieve Gorder is a well known interior designer and is currently the host of ‘Genevieve’s Renovation,’ ‘White House Christmas’ and ‘Dear Genevieve’ on HGTV cable.

Genevieve Gorder's Bio: Early Life, Education, Career

Born on July 26, 1974, Genevieve is the oldest of three children and the only daughter. She attended Minneapolis South High School and later attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. She majored in international affairs but decided to change her career path--taking a graphic design course instead.

She grasped an internship at MTV in New York City and got offered a permanent job, which she took gleefully. Juggling her job with studies, she later graduated with a BFA in design from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.

She also worked for designing firm Duffy & Partners. During her tenancy at Duffy & Partners in New York City, Genevieve designed the bottle for Tanqueray No. Ten Gin. 

Similarly, Genevieve was one of the original designers of the TLC’s hit series Trading Spaces.  She became popular on Trading Spaces for her unique designs. She also had a role on Trading Spaces as a designer for a spinoff show, Trading Spaces: Family.

Genevieve earns a significant amount of money from her job as a designer. Added to it, she is also one of the most prominent anchors with HGTV, earning a handsome salary for her works.

Was Married To Actor Tyler Harcott, Divorced Now 

It was on the TV show ‘A Dating Story’ in 2003 when Genevieve met her future husband, Tyler Harcott. Tyler, a television host and actor, known for his roles in the series Honey, I Shrunk the Kids: The TV Show and Genevieve continued their meetings outside the sets. After dating for almost three years, they decided to level up their relationship. 

The two got married in 2006. The couple had a daughter from their relationship, before their divorce.

There’s have been no confirmed information on why they got divorced, and the only fact Genevieve has acknowledged in her blog is that they have divorced. But there have been various rumors regarding the pair’s separation, including an affair between Genevieve and co-star David Bromstad.

Genevieve Gorder's New Husband-To-Be Is Also Designer 

The 44-year-old designer met her fiance and boyfriend, Christian Dunbar after five years of divorce from her ex-husband. Christian is a furniture and sculpture designer. The single mom hadn’t planned to change anything until she got to meet Christian.

In an interview with GoodHouseKeeping.com, Genevieve told,

My friend said he felt like he knew this perfect person who’d had a crush on me for years.

Eventually, the two started dating which in time turned serious and less than a year later, Christian presented her with the ring.
