The famous American sitcom Friends aired on CBS from 1994 to 2004. The series lasted ten seasons and has been ranked amongst the best series of all time.

The show is about six friends — Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Matthew Perry, who live in Manhattan, New York City.

Even though the series ended 17 years ago, rumors about the cast reunion had been floating around for many years.

It started gaining traction when Aniston opened her Instagram in October 2019. Her first post was of the six of them.

HBO confirmed that Friends: The Reunion was happening back in 2020, but had been delayed three times because of the pandemic. Regardless, it is finally happening!

HBO max released a trailer on May 19, 2021, and fans everywhere are riled up with excitement for the release.

Trailer For ‘Friends: The Reunion’

The trailer featured the cast members talking about their experiences and sharing their memories from Friends

The trailer started out with the cast playing a trivia game and Schwimmer asking questions about the show.

For the reunion, the six of them have returned to the iconic set of Friends, Stage 24, on the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank.

The cast also did a table read and recreated some iconic scenes — Chandler (Perry) and Joey’s (LeBlanc) chairs, Phoebe’s (Kudrow) “My eyes! My eyes!” and Janice’s (Maggie Wheeler) “Oh my god!.”

Some interesting facts were spilled, like when LeBlanc asked if the table from Monica (Cox) and Rachel’s (Aniston) kitchen still had Cox’s lines written on it. Discussions about if Ross (Schwimmer) and Rachel were on a break or not, the first time they met each other, and many others were teased on the trailer.

The cast had a few things to talk about themselves as well. Schwimmer believed everyone was “so perfectly cast,” and Cox spoke about how they have become best friends.

Aniston shared how one of the producers from her previous show told her Friends would have never made her a star.

LeBlanc made the cast laugh by sharing the story of how he found via news that his roof was a mess and Perry was overwhelmed by it all.

James Corden, who will host the unscripted special, provided a voiceover for the trailer.

The trailer ended with the traditional huddle of the cast, the one they did every day for ten years while on the set of Friends.

Overall, the whole two minutes of the trailer were an emotional rollercoaster.

Cast's Interview With People

The cast also sat down with People and talked about their favorite moments from Friends and about each other.

Cox shared that she, Kudrow, and Aniston had lunch together for ten years. LeBlanc reflected on how tightly knitted the group was. No matter how much time they had spent separated, it was as if nothing had changed when they get together.

With no ulterior motives, the six of them have always been honest, heartfelt, and open with each other. For Aniston, Friends is the most incredible job she's ever had.

The cast also shared what they have stolen from the set. Aniston stole Monica’s black dress and claimed that she still wore it to this day.

Aniston is not the only one who wears something from almost two decades ago.

Kudrow still has all the rings her character Phoebe wore and continues to wear them after all this time. She also has a clock cookie jar that Perry stole from the set.  And the security badge she needed to get on set.

Schwimmer stole a placard that said ‘Professor Geller’ from Ross’s office.

The cast members define the relationship between themselves as that of siblings. Aniston gave the perfect statement to define their relationship — “till death do us part.”
