Tommy Fury Is Reportedly Dropping Out of the Jake Paul Fight
Recent reports suggest that Tommy Fury is no longer fighting Jake Paul in the ring later this month.
Just today, Keemstarm, a renowned YouTuber, from DramaAlert claimed that Fury, a professional British boxer, would be dropping out of the fight with Paul, a social media star and professional boxer.
DramaAlert shared a video on Instagram where Keemstarm shared he had two verified sources telling him Fury versus Paul would not happen.
Here's what he said:
Ladies and gentleman I had to get out of the bed for this one. I got two sources now, two sources telling me that Tommy Fury is dropping out of the fight with Jake Paul. Yes, December 18. The whole thing is going to get cancelled.
Fury and Paul were finally looking to settle their bitter long-term feud in the ring, as they had finalized the date for the boxing match on December 18 in Florida.
Tommy Fury Reportedly to Be Replaced by Tyron Woodley
Keemstarm further claimed that, according to his source, Fury would be replaced by another famed fighter, Tyron Woodley.
In case you didn't know, Paul and Woodley faced off against each other earlier this year on August 29.
And even though the social media star took a few hard shots, he dominated Woodley most of the time.
The influencer eventually won their fight after he outpointed the MMA Champion via split decision (77-75, 75-77, 78-74).
Tired and angry after the loss, Woodley was unhappy with the results and claimed he should have won the fight at the post-fight interview. He had even called for a rematch.
Paul responded to the situation, stating that he was more interested in fighting Fury, Tyson Fury's younger brother, instead of going after Woodley again.
But it seems like the rematch between old rivals is just over a week away.
There Has Been No Confirmation
Despite Keemstarm's claims, there has been no official confirmation regarding the rumored Fury dropping out of the fight with Paul.
But again, in the video, the YouTuber claimed the announcement could come anytime soon. "We'll find out what happens but it is supposed to be all announced in a couple of hours," he added.
Fans Think Tommy Fury's Injury Made Him Drop Out
After the unverified news came out on media, fans also dropped their views on the topic.
In the same video, some fans shared that Fury might have canceled the fight because of a possible injury.
"Only reason he would drop out is for a big injury he suffered in camp," one wrote, while another agreed.Â
Someone asked, "Name the sources bro."
"Na surely not I wanted to see tommy drop jake," another comment read.

In addition, the two were to fight at a catchweight of 192lb, eight pounds lighter than the recognized cruiserweight limit.
Speaking of their careers, Paul has had a relatively short and controversial boxing career inviting former MMA fighters Woodley and Ben Askren into crossover bouts. He also defeated YouTubers AnEson Gib and Deji.
Fury is looking to follow in the footsteps of his heavyweight champion brother Tyson.
