Spoilers ahead

Stranger Things has everything — a strong Netflix deal, nostalgia-filled horror narrative, diverse cast, critical acclaim, and an international fan base.

That's the reason why we cannot wait for Stranger Things Season 4 to get a release date and subsequently get aired.

In a recent interview with Collider, executive producer Shawn Levy revealed that the filming for the fourth season is almost finished and the team is looking to publicize the release date in the coming weeks.

"And I’m not allowed to say more [about the release date]. By the time Free Guy comes out, August 13th, part of that answer will be known," Levy stated.

For now, as we wait for the announcement of the release date, let's look back at all the released teasers of Stranger Things Season 4 and what the team has said about the new season.

Teaser 1: ‘From Russia with Love’

The first teaser of Stranger Things Season 4 came up on February 14, 2020, ending fans' curiosity about whether Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is still alive or not.

The video revealed that Hopper was still alive and working as a prisoner for the Russian army on a snow-filled railway track.

It was a sigh of relief for all the Hopper fans who were made to believe he died after Season 3's cliffhanger. The 50 seconds long video was the first of the four teasers of the fourth season, as mentioned on its YouTube video's description.

Teaser 2: ‘Eleven, Are You Listening?’

Over a year after the first teaser, on May 6, the second teaser of the fourth season was released.

This 1 minute and 9 seconds video was more thrilling and nerve-wracking than the former one.

The video is set inside a laboratory where kids are trained to perform experimental paranormal and supernatural activities. As Dr. Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine) comes in front of them, they greet him, saying, "Good morning, Papa."

The background music turns more intense as it exposes Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), breathing heavily, inside her locked up room.

"Eleven, are you listening," Dr. Brenner whispers while she opens her eyes in fear.

"The clock at 0:00 is showing 12/3 so the release date for season 4 might be on December the 3rd.. ya’ll I’m so excited and nervous for this," one fangirl commented her theory.

While the two trailers have already excited the fans, the other two trailers are yet to be released.

The Cast Has Their Say

Like the fans, the cast of the series is also excited about the new season of Stranger Things.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in April 2021, actor Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin Henderson, shared that he and the whole team are motivated to raise the bar.

He has further disclosed the plot of the upcoming season, saying it is going to be much darker than the previous seasons.

Another cast member, Harbour, also revealed the looks of his character in a conversation with Jimmy Kimmel in June this year.

He said that he and the Duffer Brothers planned a completely different look for his character since he played a similar Russian prisoner role in the Marvel movie Black Widow.
