Referred to as one of the hottest men in the entertainment industry, Shemar Moore once hoped to strengthen his relationship with Cuban-American actress Anabelle Acosta a step at a time.

But more than that, he hoped his rapport with the talented artist would squash all his gay rumors.

Moore started dating Acosta in early 2018, and the pair made their official red carpet debut at the Grammy Awards.

Shemar Moore Confronted Gay Speculations 

In January 2018, the S.W.A.T. actor opened up about his dating life and got candid about his gay rumors during an interview with TMZ

Moore admitted that the gay speculations sparked because he always took his mom as his date to Hollywood events. Then, he said that he took Acosta to the Grammys to break the routine and falsify the rumors.

The 51-year-old also gushed how he got Acosta to be his date. As per his accounts, he assembled an army of people to track down her email address as soon as he saw her. 

He even allocated a reward of two round trips to Vegas for anyone who brought him her contact. Thankfully, his plan worked perfectly, and two went to the red carpet event as a couple.

Shemar Moore's Relationship With Anabelle Acosta

After the remarkable debut, Moore dished on about his relationship with Acosta to ET Canada in March 2018. He clarified he was taking one step at a time with his girlfriend, stating that they went big even before knowing each other. 

It was just like, ‘Hi nice to meet you. I like what I see, you like what you see. Let’s get to know each other over coffee and I happen to have tickets to the Grammys.

Moore mentioned how they were in the first phase of the relationship. He remarked they weren't getting married or having children yet but were taking baby steps.  

Despite their genuine motive to make their rapport work, the pair's relationship turned south within a brief period. And in April 2019, his ex-girlfriend married a Dominican actor, Algenis Soto

Is Shemar Moore Married?

Moore shared his dreams of having a family while talking to Watch! magazine in 2017. "I want to be a family man," the Daytime Emmy winner stated at the time. 

He elaborated he wanted to be a father and have a spouse to share his life with. The Criminal Minds star also maintained he wanted to continue taking the next step in his life.

That being said, Moore hasn't found the right person to marry yet. However, he has had a fair share of relationships in the past.

In 2015, he briefly dated professional soccer player Shawna Gordon. Before that, he was romantically linked with Halle Berry and Toni Braxton.
