There are various communities on YouTube, and all have a fair share of drama within them. For example, the beauty community has scandalous creators like James Charles and Jeffree Star.

Similarly, family channels have controversial influencers like Ace Family, and drama channels have people like Keemstar. One such community which has its fair share of scandals is the mukbang community.

A mukbang is an online audiovisual broadcast in which a presenter consumes varying amounts of food while engaging with the audience. It first gained popularity in South Korea in 2010 and has since spread throughout the world.

As a result, there are many prominent names in the Mukbang community. One such person is Nikocado Avocado.

Who Is Nikocado Avocado?

Nikocado Avocado's real name is Nicholas Perry, and he has been active on YouTube for almost a decade. Before YouTube, he used to work as a freelance violinist.

Soon, he joined YouTube in 2014 and started as a vegan YouTuber — something that seems surprising given his current stance. He promoted veganism for two years, and then, from 2016, he started becoming a mukbanger.

Unfortunately, it was not well received since he invited a lot of drama. He started making controversial videos with extreme eating habits and constant meltdowns.

Similarly, he has also found himself in hot waters with his controversy with fellow mukbangers, Stephanie Soo and Zach Choi. Soo had accused Perry of harassing her, but the latter made a video defending himself.

Many people have questioned his eating habit, saying it is unhealthy, and are worried about his health. Perry has been sick constantly and had promised to take a hiatus from YouTube to take care of himself in November 2020.

However, he did not do as said and continues to make videos. But nowadays, Perry has opted for more controversial subject matter — racism and xenophobia.

Nikocado Avocado and Racism

On October 3, 2021, Keemstar took to Twitter to expose Perry for using the n-word. He uploaded two screenshots where the first was of Perry's video from the More Nikocado channel.

There, he pinned a comment asking people to pay him on Patreon to hear him say the n-word. The second screenshot was of Perry's Patreon, where the mukbanger told him saying the derogatory term would not be available on YouTube.

The context of Keemstar's tweet was the time when Perry said the word while cussing out. He had bleeped the word, but it was evident that he had used the term.

He addressed the situation in a September 25, 2021 video and explained the reason for the backlash. However, he was passive-aggressive about it and defended himself by saying, "I said what I said."

Then, he promoted his Patreon, where he uploaded the uncensored version of him saying the n-word. This is not the first time Perry is using the n-word.

Previously in November 2020, a video of him calling noodles the n-word went viral. However, the video is debatable since many fans believe he said "Nick and Noodles" and not the n-word.

Perry has also been called out for being xenophobic and promoting Asian hate. In February 2020, Keemstar interviewed Perry for DramaAlert, talking about the controversy with Soo.

Perry was very adamant about his hate for Koreans and k-pop. He said he hated BTS and went on to call the BTS fans, aka Army, "mushroom heads."

He added that he was not racist and had nothing against Asian culture but did not appreciate the Army. Keemstar also agreed with Perry calling the k-pop community toxic.

The DramaAlert host added that the k-pop fans had ruined Twitter. As expected, Perry once again got backlash for being racist to Asians.Â
