Justin Bruening is known for his roles in television series like All My Children and Grey's Anatomy

The American actor lives with his wife, All My Children co-star Alexa Havins, and their three kids in Los Angeles. The couple keeps their lives private and away from the media. But that has rarely stopped fans from trying to dig up more information about them.

So, let's take a peek at their wholesome love story and marriage after kids.

How Justin Bruening and Alexa Havins Met

The former fashion model met his wife, Havins, on the sets of the television show All My Children in 2003.

They became great friends and started dating in 2004. Justin got down on one knee to propose to her on the set and he did so right after filming Justin's character, Jamie, proposing to Havins' character, Babe Carey, on the show.

The couple walked down the aisle in a private ceremony on June 5, 2005. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Los Angeles, California.

Bruening and his wife are very vigilant about showing themselves in front of the media. Neither of them has an account on social media platforms, which is pretty rare since most celebrities are quite open to keeping their fans updated on their lives through social media.

Havins told Soap Central in 2018 that she did not want to show more of her life in public since so much was already on the screen.

When I was on All My Children, every ounce of me was on display — our marriage, everything. I think for a minute, it was just nice to have a couple of things for myself, but it wasn't purposeful... it's one part motherhood and the other that I'm just old-school.

Justin Bruening Is the Father of Three

After nearly five years of marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Bruening became pregnant with their first daughter, Lexington Grace Bruening, in August 2010. They welcomed their second child, Zane Bruening, in 2013, followed by another daughter in 2015.

“We're just living a really fulfilled life, Justin and I and our kids,” Alexa shared with Soap Central. “And when I'm not working, I just love being a mom, every second. They're phenomenal. I always knew I'd love having a family, but I enjoy it even more than I thought I would.”

Justin Bruening was born in the small town of St. Helena, Nebraska on September 24, 1979.

All My Children casting director Judy Wilson noticed Bruening when he was in college in San Diego. He originally auditioned for the role of JR Chandler but was eventually cast in the role of Jamie Martin and worked alongside his wife for four years in the show.

Bruening had previously been discovered by Sue Nessel at McDonald's and got to work as a fashion model for Abercrombie & Fitch.

For a brief time, in 2004 and 2005, Bruening also portrayed Jamie Martin on One Life to Live during a crossover storyline.

During his role of Jamie, Bruening was featured as Daytime's Hottest Star in Teen People, Us Weekly, Star, and J-14 magazines.

After playing a doctor on All My Children and a paramedic on Grey's Anatomy, Bruening is now on Netflix's Sweet Magnolias as a baseball coach.
