Jeffree Star has finally spoken.

A few days back, Britney Spears raved about one of Star’s makeup products in an Instagram post, saying she could not live without it and called the makeup mogul a “genius.” But fans were not happy about Spears’ endorsement, criticizing her for supporting Star, who has been accused of violence, racism, and sexual assault and “Dramagedon 2.0.”

However, some fans noted she could support whoever she wanted and stated this was not how someone released from her 13-year conservatorship should be treated. For those unaware, fans everywhere had petitioned for her freedom through the “The Free Britney” movement, which became popular in 2019.

Even Star had spoken in support of Spears on Twitter, calling her newfound freedom “long overdue.”

When the backlash against the pop star started growing, she deleted the post. Fans even dug up an old video from TMZ of Star slandering the singer and called for Star’s cancellation

In a series of Instagram stories, Star revealed he would upload a video about this drama and release it soon. He explained that he had reached out to Spears’ assistant and did a little investigation of his own.

It’s crazy that someone who has been in a mental prison for 13 years finds joy in something, and y’ all gotta bully her into deleting her post. That’s so sad. Some of y’all have self-reflecting to do. I have been there.

He iterated that this was not a drama or tea and was about someone’s mental health. He added that people should not be “bullying Spears” into deleting her posts, especially after going through hell and back to earn her freedom.

He also addressed the old video from TMZ, stating some people were obsessed with his past. He asked people to “get over it,” saying that the video was from when he was 19 years old, and now in his 30s, he acknowledged that it was a dumb mistake.

Star then expressed his love and appreciation for Spears, calling her an icon and sharing that he owned every album and knew all the lyrics to her songs.

Besides addressing Spears’ deleted post, Star also announced the launch of his new brand called Jeffree Star Pets in his latest YouTube video.

The beauty guru loves his family of furbabies and calls them his “children.” He has adopted several dogs and often shares glimpses of his adorable pups on his YouTube channel and social media.

And in the video, too, he was sitting amongst his “children” and revealed that he was starting a custom toy line including collars, food and water bowls, toys, etc. He shared the delay in the project was because of the death of his two furbabies and covid.

The products are already live on his website and sold out.
