Is Gabrielle Union Bisexual? Says She Loves Going to Strip Clubs with Girl Pals
Actress and author Gabrielle Union enjoys a happy married life with her husband, Dwyane Wade, an NBA player. The two got married on August 30, 2014, after starting their relationship in 2008.Â
On November 7, 2018, the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Kaavia James, via surrogacy.Â
That means the family has a total of four children, with the first three kids born to Wade and his previous partners.
But lately, many fans have been questioning Union's orientation and wanting to know if she is bisexual or not. That said, how did this topic start? And is she actually bisexual?
Word Spread after Her 'Strip Club' Story Came Out
On a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live — uploaded on September 29, 2021, on YouTube — Union shared some of her fun experiences during her strip club visits.Â
She revealed that she regularly went to strip clubs and dropped thousands of dollars on the female dancers.
"Pre-pandemic, I [go to strip clubs], 10 or 15 times in a year," she added. "I'm a connoisseur... There's a really famous strip club in Atlanta called Magic City...When I walk in, they're like, 'Gab Union!'"
She went on to say that she hopped around the strip clubs without her husband but preferred her lady friends to be with her.
And after she stated so, many started thinking if she was bisexual and loved partying with her women buddies, especially in strip clubs.
During the conversation with Kimmel, Union also revealed the maximum amount she had spent in one night was between 10-20 thousand USD.
"You don't really think about it because [of] the booze. And you want to make sure all the ladies go home with a little something," the Bring It On actress explained.
Is Gabrielle Union Bisexual?
So far, Union has not confirmed any rumor or come out as bisexual. So due to that, it is unsure if she is bisexual or not.
But since she has not made any comments, it is best to believe she is not what the people have been assuming.
Gabrielle Union's Stepchild Came Out as a Transgender Girl
While Union's orientation is being questioned by many, the actress' stepchild came out as a transgender girl in early 2020. At the time, the then-12-year-old child came out and changed her name to Zaya.
Initially, Wade appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February that year and announced that his child was socially transitioning and using she/her pronouns.
The same day, Union also took to her Twitter to post a video featuring Zaya, where the teenager talked about what it meant to be true to yourself.
"Meet Zaya. She’s compassionate, loving, whip smart and we are so proud of her. It’s okay to listen to, love & respect your children exactly as they are. Love and light good people," the actress wrote in her tweet, showing support for her daughter, as well as the LGBTQ community.
Speaking with Self Magazine in May 2020 relating to her relationship with family, especially Zaya, Union said they were getting used to each other and believed they would be more comfortable with time.
She added that the other members of the family have also accepted Zaya.
