‘Drake & Josh’ Stars, Drake Bell and Josh Peck Are No Longer Friends
The beef between Drake Bell and Josh Peck is messier than ever. The Drake & Josh stars used to be good friends when they filmed the Nickelodeon sitcom.
Bell and Peck played the role of two teenage stepbrothers in the sitcom who were opposites but best friends. The show aired from January 11, 2004, to September 16, 2007, but there were different spinoffs.
After spending many years together, many speculate that Bell and Peck are friends. However, with time, they lost touch and drifted apart.
Unfortunately, the two had a public and nasty beef that has caught the attention of many fans and followers.
How the Beef Started
The public and messy feud initially started with Bell calling out his co-star in 2017 for not inviting him to his wedding. After that, Bell tweeted and deleted a couple of tweets directed at Peck.
He did not explicitly mention that the tweets were for Peck, but it was clearly intended at the latter.

Bell wrote, "When you're not invited to the wedding the message is clear.... True colors have come out today. Message is loud and clear. Ties are officially cut. I'll miss you brotha."
Peck did not respond to Bell at the time. But it seemed like the two were back to being friends since Peck uploaded a picture with Bell on his Instagram.
The photo was of the two hugging at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. They also filmed a vlog for Peck's channel titled 'DRAKE AND JOSH REUNION,' where they were back to being friends again.
The two even appeared in David Dobrik's vlogs. But after that, the two did not make an appearance together.
As a result, fans were confused if the two were still friends or their beef had deepened.
Josh Peck and Drake Bell Are Not Friends
Peck had remained silent about Bell despite the latter being involved in different controversies. Finally, in March 2022, he published his memoir, Happy People Are Annoying, where he talked about his beef with Bell.
He wrote the two stopped being friends and their "connection" ended with Drake & Josh. He also mentioned how their names would forever be attached because of the show.
Talking about Bell's legal issues, Peck wrote about how their fans wanted his opinion on it. But unfortunately, he did not know what to say since they were no longer friends.
He wrote, "it had been years since we'd talked and even longer since we'd seen each other." Then, on March 16, 2022, Peck went to the BFFs podcast and talked about Bell and his wedding.
Peck got married to his wife, Page O'Brien, in a small wedding ceremony. Peck had not talked with Bell for a decade, and them not being friends was a "dirty little secret."
As a result, he did not invite his Drake & Josh co-star. But it did not bode well with Bell. Peck claimed that the latter not only tweeted but also sent text messages, cursing at him on the night of his wedding.
Peck also did not appreciate the tweets by Bell since that was a "narrative that just wasn't true." He was scared for the safety of his wife, who people were targeting.

Peck did not explain and further the beef at the time. He could not tell Drake & Josh fans and followers that the two were never close.
He claimed he did not want to be "the bearer of bad news." Peck explained that the 2017 MTV Awards reunion wasn't what it looked like on social media.
After seeing each other, Peck went up to Bell and told him, "Go apologize to my wife or something bad's gonna happen." Bell went up to O'Brien and apologized to her, and the two actors did not meet each other after that.
Bell's wife, Janet Von Schmeling, took to Instagram stories on March 17, 2022, and called Peck a liar. She added that he never threatened Bell, and they hung out together after the award ceremony, according to E! News.
Schmeling deleted her stories shortly after, and Peck has not responded to the allegations yet.
Regardless of it all, it seems like Bell and Peck's beef will continue for a long time.
