Dominic Purcell, renowned for his roles in Fox's Prison Break and CW's The Flash, has been in multiple relationships over the years.

He was previously married to film producer Rebecca Williamson for a decade, between 1998 and 2008. He and his ex-wife also had four children: Joseph Purcell, Audrey Purcell, Lily-Rose Purcell, and Augustus Purcell.

Following that, Purcell, 51, relished a romantic relationship with his former girlfriend, AnnaLynne McCord, an actress best known for playing antiheroine Naomi Clark in The CW series 90210.

The former Hollywood couple started their on-and-off relationship in 2011. They first had an amicable split for a year in 2014 and separated for the second time between 2018 and 2020.

At present, Purcell and McCord are not dating each other, but they remain on good terms. 

They are even occasionally seen together in public. For example, in September 2020, the two had a PDA-packed beach day in Huntington Beach, where they were snapped having an intimate time.

During a recent conversation with Giddy’s Marisa Sullivan, McCord also confirmed that they were not together as a romantic couple. She shared, "There are many reasons why that man [Purcell] will be my forever person...he’s staying at my house right now — we’re not together [but] we’re family is what it is now."

In the same interview, the American Heiress actress revised her relationship with the Prison Break actor and shared what made their relationship special, even though they are not dating now.

McCord shared that she had been fighting her past sexual traumas when she first met Purcell. She described him as "a very, very ferociously strong man."

She continued to explain that his inclusion in her life helped her move past her traumas, saying, "It took a big, strong, angry Aussie. I had such severe sexual abuse at such a young age that my body decided, 'This is unsafe for you to feel.' So I was completely numb."

The 34-year-old actress added that Purcell was like a mirror, helping her introspect, and that he also created a safe space for her. According to her, he never tried to push her out of his life and didn't allow anything silly to come between them. And that is what made her specifically trust him, despite her dislike for "masculine energies," and other "men."

The former couple was also reportedly together when the Legends of Tomorrow actor was in a near-fatal accident on the set of Prison Break back in 2016. Purcell had to get 150-plus stitches in his head because of the accident.

After being married for close to a decade, Purcell and his ex-wife, Williamson, decided to end their marriage in October 2007. That month, they went their own ways and started living separately while still co-parenting their four children.

"The separation is completely amicable and they remain friends," the actor’s reps told People.

The two reportedly got a divorce the following year, in 2008. Since then, they have remained friends and co-parent their kids.
