Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, popularly known by his stage name Bad Bunny, is a prominent figure in the genre of reggaeton.

The Puerto Rican rapper and singer has collaborated with popular artists such as J Balvin, Farruko, Residente, Arcángel, Jhay Cortez, and Daddy Yankee.

Bad Bunny’s Family Background

Bad Bunny was born on March 10, 1994, in Almirante Sur barrio in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.

According to the New York Times, the Puerto Rican superstar grew up in a "stable lower-middle-class family of observant Catholics." 

He is the oldest among his parents' three children. His parents worked hard to provide for their children. His father, Tito Martínez, drove trucks, while his mother, Lysaurie Ocasio, taught English at a community school.

Although they lived only 45 minutes away from San Juan's metro area, Bad Bunny explained that going into the city was almost like a festival or a major event.

He recollected going to the city "four, at most five times a year," when they had enough money to spend.

"I wasn't the kid who got involved in the streets. I liked to be at home with my family," he told Billboard in 2018. "I love my island. It means pride, it means love. Being a Puerto Rican, it means everything. It's what I am."

Bad Bunny has two younger brothers, Bernie and Bysael. According to a 2019 Mitú article, they were 21 and 16, respectively, which means Bernie is 24 and Bysael is 19 as of 2021.

His brother, Bernie, is often spotted with him brother during his musical tours and even has made a cameo appearance on Bad Bunny's video for "Yo Visto Asi," besides big names like Karol G and actress Sofia Vergara.

His youngest brother, Bysael, recently graduated high school from the Beltran Baseball Academy and is continuing a career in baseball.

Does Bad Bunny Have Kids?

To answer the question — no, there is no evidence of Bad Bunny having kids or tieing the knot with someone.

However, he confirmed being in a relationship with his girlfriend, jewelry designer Gabriela Berlingeri, on April 2, 2020, after sharing a video on Instagram of them kissing during the filming of his music video for "Yo Perreo Sola."

Bad Bunny met his girlfriend in 2017 at a restaurant while he was out dining with his family. The two began dating soon after.

During an interview with Uforia, the rapper revealed that although he has no plans of having kids anytime soon, he wants to raise his future kids on his home island in order to teach them the same values he grew up with.
