Born on 3 March 1975 Betsy Kling was raised in Copley, Ohio by her parents whom she is very close with.
She attended Copley High School and later went on to graduate with a bachelors degree in journalism with a minor in meteorology from the Bowling Green State University. She also earned a certification in broadcast meteorology from the University of Mississipi.
Years Of Experience Betsy Kling Accumulated As On-Air Meteorologist
After graduating from college, the meteorologist started her career in 1997 as a weekend meteorologist for WKJG-TV. Later in 2000, she joined WTLV/WJXX- TV as a weekend meteorologist.
Over her time in WKJG-TV and WTLV/WJXX-TV she worked in Indiana, Florida, and Fort Wayne.
She finally returned back to her hometown Cleveland, Ohio in 2003 when she got a job at WKYC-TV as Ohio’s first female chief meteorologist.
Her credibility as a meteorologist is well defined by the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) from the American Meteorological Society and the Seal of Approval from the National Weather Association (NWA).

Betsy met her husband at his hometown in Fort Wayne while she was working for WKJG-TV. She passed the comment ‘‘How nice to see you get your hair under control.' And later apologized by grabbing his elbow saying it was just a joke. And from that moment, her husband laid eyes on her and the pair has been together ever since.
The lovely couple shares a family of four and have two adorable daughters; Josie and Vi.
