The 49-year-old was born as Tomica Woods in 1969 in Los Angeles, California. She celebrates her birthday every year on 7 December. She grew up separately with her parents, at times she lived with her mother in one town, then with her father in another, and in a foster home for a while as well.

She completed her high school education at San Fernando Valley. After pursuing high school education, went to Santa Monica College and later got enrolled at West Los Angeles College.

Tomica got married to a famous American rapper, Eric Lynn Wright (Eazy-E) in 1995. The couple first crossed paths at a Los Angeles nightclub in 1991 and started dating before finally getting married after four years together.

Tomica and Eric shares two children from their relationship; a son named Dominick Wright and a daughter Daijah, who was born six months after the death of Eazy-E. Dominic is an actor known for 2015 movie, Mistaken.

However, she faced tragedy at the beginning of her married life as her husband, Eazy-E died just after 12 days of their wedding on 26 March 1995. The cause of Eazy-E's death is believed to be AIDS-related Complications. Eazy-E's death shimmered a lot of controversies, and some sources claimed that he could have been murdered.

It must have been extremely difficult for Wright to lose her husband so soon and to cope up with the grief struck by his sudden death.

3. Tomica Wright Filed Lawsuit Against Her Stepson

But she didn't lose hope and stood strong amidst all the grief, pain and difficulties. After the death of Eazy-E, Tomica was announced as the CEO of Ruthless Records, which was owned by him. She had the experience of managing record label as she had previously worked for other record labels such as Tabu Records and Motown.

Tomica has also faced criticism with the fact that she married Eazy-E while he was in deathbed to inherit his company. Moreover, she faced many difficulties in handling Ruthless Records.

Undeterred by the criticisms, she moved forward and accepted the challenge of expanding the record label in the memory of her demised husband. Her smart business strategies accelerated the distribution deals of the company within a span of two years.

Being a CEO of the company, Tomica even filed a lawsuit against her stepson, Eric Darnell in August 2017, claiming that he and his partners were illegally using the company name for profit on their website, 

However in 2018, the two have settled their lawsuit and Eazy’s son agreed to a clause in the agreement that prevents him from using the names “Straight Outta Compton,” “N.W.A.” and “Ruthless”, however, he will be able to use “Rich & Ruthless”.
