American actor Peter was previously married to Elizabeth Rogers. Their wedding was held back in the year 1993, and later, they shared a son named Emmet Berg, dedicating to whom he penned a parenting article for the Time magazine in 2014. In the article, he stated his concern about his son playing tackle football.

However, their marriage did not last long for a long, and the couple ended their marriage through a divorce in the year 2002. The pair ended their nine long years of marriage and had kept the exact reason for their divorce remains confined despite separating legally. 

Berg, who wrote a parenting article, did not stay single for a long time. Right after his divorce, he started dating a famous Canadian actress, Estella Warren in 2002. After dating for four years, the couple split later in 2006.
