American master treehouse builder, Pete Nelson's bio revealed the secret to his inexplicable bond with his wife and family.

Pete Nelson is pretty much known all around the world for hosting the Animal Planet's television show Treehouse Masters. Apart from being a master crafter and a brilliant TV personality, he is also a best selling author having authored the book, Treehouses: The Art and Craft of Living Out on a Limb.

Pete Nelson’s Bio: Age, Height, Early Life, and Career

Born on 4 June 1962, Pete Nelson was raised in Ridgewood, New Jersey. His curiosity and interest in treehouses piqued at the age of 5 when his father built him a tree fort behind the garage of their house.

Pete graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs and built his first treehouse in 1987 in his backyard. He eventually moved to Washington State the same year, starting his career building homes and writing books about treehouses.

Standing at the height of 6’3, Pete published his first book, Treehouses: The Art and Craft of Living Out on a Limb in 1994, which encouraged him to write more books on the similar topic. The author has six published books to his credit till date.

Not stopping just at writing books and building homes, the builder aged 56, opened a lodge, Treehouse Point in Seattle that is wholly composed of treehouses in 2006. He has also appeared in the documentary series, Treehouse Masters that aired in 2013.    

Pete Nelson’s Impressive Net Worth

According to sources, the sophisticated treehouse builder has got an estimated net worth of $3 Million. Pete has turned his passion for making treehouses to a thriving business.

The designs that Pete creates cost between $80,000 and $200,000 which is possibly the reason his treehouses do not sell cheap. The most expensive treehouse Pete built went for more than $365,000 in Yelm, Washington.

He also earns from his appearance in the television show, Treehouse Masters that has aired 92 episodes as of 2018 which has boosted his net worth. The average treehouse prices in the show are $275,000, with some even reaching up to $400,000.

Pete also earns considerably from his company, Nelson Treehouse and Supply and lodge, Treehouse Point. From the amount of money he makes, he has bought a kingly 1994 Land Rover Defender 90, which doesn’t come at a cheap price.

Pete Nelson’s Bio Reveals His Married Life

The 56-year-old reality star has been married for 32 years now. Pete first met his wife, Judy in his college in Colorado when he was just 19 years of age.

Being very active on social media sites, Pete often posts pictures with his wife with lovely captions. It’s incredible how the couple has been going strong for so many years.

The pair got married in August 1986 and opened their first joint venture as husband and wife, the treehouse retreat center, TreeHouse Point in 2006.

Despite having been married for more than three decades now, Pete still loves to share the moments he spends with his wife mostly on Instagram.

Pete Nelson's Daughter Got Married At Botanical Garden

Pete and Judy have three children, a pair of twin sons, and a daughter. Their sons, Henry and Charlie, have taken into the family business of treehouse building.

That means the family business isn’t going to shut down any soon. Pete’s daughter, Emily got married in September 2016. 

Sharing the same interest in treehouses, Emily, and her husband, Peter had their wedding at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, that harbored six locally-designed treehouses.

Coincidentally, Pete shared a connection to the place having snapped a selfie under the same oak tree in 2014, that his daughter Emily and Peter had chosen as their ceremonial backdrop. The wedding was an intimate one, and the guest list of only 28 contained close friends and family.
