Brown Findlay, who had a passionate interest in ballet dancing, trained with the National Youth Ballet and the Associates of the Royal Ballet. Just at age 15, she got the opportunity to dance with the Kirov at the Royal Opera House for the whole summer season.

While schooling from Furze Platt Senior School in Maidenhead, she was called upon by some ballet schools at the end of her GCSEs. She then chose to go to the Arts Educational School, because it was suiting for her as of the pastoral care and the courses it offered.

Just in her second year at School, Brown Findlay, who already had eating disorder then encountered another major accident in her life as she had to undergo three operations on her ankles, the last of which was a failed operation.

After the operations, she was told that she could never dance again.

She then decided to embark upon a career in acting, something she had always considered after her experiences as a ballet dancer but had never tried. However, she finished her education at Arts Educational School, Tring Park after encouragement from an art teacher.

And then completed her Fine Arts course at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Talking about the disorder in March 2017, she insisted that the eating disorder was one of the hardest struggles where she felt lonely for a long time; as she hid her disorder.

Moreover, she opened up about her struggles and called for ‘mature conversation’ about mental health and depression.

Jessica started to talk about her problem more openly after having therapy and believed that she felt less lonely by sharing her problems with others.

After dating for two years, the couple ended their relationship in November 2012. The separation seems to be amicable as her ex-boyfriend came to her support when she was one of the victims of celebrity phone hacking in 2014.

Her intimate images and videos were hacked from her Apple iCloud account, and after some days Thomas spoke in her support stating that it was a massive invasion of privacy and feel sorry for her.
