Ed joined CNN by 2005 and was elevated to a senior position in December 2008.

Henry became one of three CNN correspondents at the White House alongside Dan Lothian and Brianna Keilar; Henry was the only senior correspondent.

By June 2011, Henry announced that he was leaving CNN for a promotion as the Chief White House Correspondent at Fox News Channel. His reason for leaving was that CNN didn’t renew his contract.

Henry met his wife, Shirley Hung while they were working at CNN. Henry then was CNN’s senior White House correspondent, and Shirley Hung was acting as a senior producer.

They got married in June 2010 in Las Vegas. And in doing so, Shirley became the stepmom to Henry’s children, Mila and Patrick, from his previous marriage.

Subsequently, Henry lost his White House correspondent position. Furthermore, because of the affair, his marriage was left in dismay.

After the news of the affair, his marriage seemed inevitable to end. Many news outlets anticipated the beckoning calls of divorce. Fortunately, despite getting her heartbreak, Shirley decided to hand him another chance as she forgave him and welcomed him back home a month after the affair.
