Irish filmmaker and actor, Eoin Macken, was searching all his life for someone who could be his wife. Recently, it seems, his search was over as he got engaged to his girlfriend.

The Dublin-native is a famous actor, well known for his roles in TV shows like Merlin, The Night Shift, and most recently in George R.R. Martin's novella based sci-fi series, Nightflyers.

Eoin Macken Was Born To Supportive Family Who Supported Him To Follow His Dreams

On 21 February 1983, in Dublin, Ireland, Eoin was born as the eldest son of a nurse mother and barrister father. Although initially Eoin wanted to be a zoologist but his interest soon changed and he started studying drama at University College, Dublin.

His family was very supportive of him in his quest to make it in the film industry. Even when he was struggling during the early phase of his career, his parents, especially his father, encouraged him to do what he wanted to do, which was to make films.

Dreaming to make big in the film industry, Eoin joined Attic Studio of Drama in Los Angeles, where he made acclaimed short films.

 Eoin went on to play as an actor in a number of indie movies before landing the major role of Sir Gwaine in BBC One historical/mythological series, Merlin. His most recent venture is American sci-fi series Nightflyers.

Eoin Is Strong Supporter Of Gay Relationships

Coming to his personal life, Eoin is straight himself but ardently supports gay relationships and rights of the queer community. Often, he can be found in Twitter championing gay marriage, encouraging the more gay couple to get married.
