Shannon Sharpe is a former American football Tight End who played for the Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League(NFL). He retired in 2004 as the NFL's all-time leader in receptions, passing yardage and TDs for tight ends.

He received the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011. He is the 3 time Superbowl Champion, 4 times First Team All-Pro and selected to eight NFL Pro Bowls. He has written for and served as NFL commentator for CBS.

He has also been a coach for high school talents at the army bowl game. He is currently co-hosting Fox Sports 1 channel’s sports debate program “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless and Jenny Taft. He has emerged as one of the well-known faces of Sports Journalism with his knowledge and experience on sports.

Know Shannon Sharpe’s Bio & Age

Shannon was born on 26th June 1968 in a poor family in Chicago, Illinois to father Pete Sharpe and mother, Mary Alice Dixon.

His parents were divorced when he was just 3 months old, and he was raised by his grandmother Mary Porter in a farm of rural Glenville, Georgia with his elder brother and sister.

His father died of lung cancer when he was in 8th grade. He attended Glenville High School and then joined Savannah State University in Georgia and earned a BS degree in criminal justice in 1989 as advised by his older brother Sterling Sharpe who is a  former American football wide receiver and a five-time all-pro receiver with the Green Bay Packers.

Shannon lettered in playing football and basketball. Aged 50, Shannon credits all his success to his elder brother who was like his mentor guiding him in his path to success.

Meet Shannon’s Children & Family

Shannon is the father to three children daughters Kayla, 25, Kaley, 24, and son Kiari, 25 from three different ended relationships.

His son Kiari studied both biology and business management at Georgia Southern, Kayla studied pre-law at Georgia Southern, and Kaley attended the Florida State with a goal of becoming a medical examiner.

All of them live in Georgia and Florida with their respective moms, and Shannon visits them frequently. Shannon lives in Los Angeles and names his mother, sister, and kids as his household.

No matter how much name and fame he earned, he was a baby to his beloved grandmother and did everything to please her but she died in 2016 at the age of 89.

Shannon Had A Long Struggle for Love

Around 2010, Shannon was under controversy for sexual assault case filed by ex-girlfriend Michelle Bundy, but later the case was closed as Bundy was accused of fabricating her claims against Sharp.

He was also linked to American fashion model Nicole Murphy during 2017. But that subsided around the same year as he got engaged to beautiful fitness instructor Katy Kellner from Atlanta, Georgia but the couple parted their ways soon after.

The news went public when Katy shared a picture on her Instagram on November 2018 flaunting her baby bump with the father of her baby who is a fitness instructor named Marlon Byrd.
