Basketball Wives star Tami Roman shocked fans in June 2019 when it was revealed that she and her boyfriend, Reggie Youngblood, secretly got married in the summer of 2018.

For those asking "who was Tami Roman married to?" Well, prior to her relationship with Youngblood, Roman was previously married to NBA player Kenny Anderson. The couple shared two daughters, Lyric and Jazz. They were together for seven years before their divorce in 2001.

After the separation, she began focusing on her career in the entertainment world and rose to fame as the star of the reality show Basketball Wives

Her current husband, Youngblood, was also introduced to the audience on the television broadcast. The couple made their first appearance together on Marriage Boot Camp in the fifth season of the show.

Roman Got Married to Youngblood in August 2018

The couple secretly got married in Las Vegas on August 17, 2018, and didn’t reveal any details until a year later. According to the 2019 reports from E!, the pair tied the knot and the marriage certificate was granted the same day.

The two had to deal with the rumors of their breakup before the wedding. And the internet was littered with people asking, "is Tami Roman still with Reggie?" "Is Tami Roman still married to Reggie?" However, Youngblood made it clear that they would not break up anytime soon.

“Hate to let y’all down, but @tamiroman and I are riding together until the wheels fall off,” the former NFL player wrote on Instagram in February 2018.

Following her divorce, the reality television star believed she would never find love or marry again, but Youngblood changed her life.

In a June 2018 interview with Sister Circle Live, she said, "I'm 48 and I don’t want to spend the rest of my life by myself. And this man genuinely loves me."

Roman explained it was something that Youngblood always wanted but never had. And it would be selfish of her to not go down that road with someone she truly cared about.

Roman Suffered Miscarriages

Roman has two daughters from her marriage to Anderson, but Youngblood doesn't have any. So, since their marriage in 2018, they have been trying to have a child of their own.

Roman, 51, is seventeen years older than her husband Youngblood, 34, and while the couple appears to be content with their age difference, her health complications have hampered her ability to have children.

In a 2020 interview with Keyshia Cole on her talk program, Fox Soul, Roman revealed her difficulties carrying babies to term and why she would be now exploring surrogacy. She said

He has no children. We tried three times. We, unfortunately, suffered three miscarriages. And, you know, now we’re considering a surrogate.

She explained that they have received the eggs, have harvested them, and are now seeking someone to carry them.

Roman also mentioned the fact that she knew carrying a child would be difficult at her age since she has a prolapsed uterus and suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure.

According to a February 2020 article from MadameNoire, Roman had a miscarriage when she was six months pregnant, and another when she was ten weeks pregnant.

Fortunately, the couple has maintained their strength and has continued to work on their relationship.
